SENIOR ADULT GAME NIGHT A large group of senior adults meets the second Friday of each month for food, games and fellowship. Please join us on May 13 at 6:00 p.m. in Aldersgate Hall. More information can be found on page 3.
One of the most important events on our Senior Adult Calendar takes place on the first Wednesday of every month. One hundred or more persons gather for good fellowship, a good meal, and a good program. It is called “Prime Timers” and it has become an opportunity for friends to meet and for newcomers to become acquainted with our ministries and to meet new friends. We are grateful for a team of volunteers who make this happen each month. Since 1993 the program has been blessed with great leaders. For the past seven months a team of five have kept it going. We are indebted to Jerry and Ann Armstrong, Gay Lindner, Judi Bonds, and Dave Morton for their willingness to fill this need. They have coordinated the programs and have plans in place for the rest of this year. Beginning in June we have new coordinators for Prime Timers. Helen Burgdorf and Vanessa Amelunke, our Administrative Assistant, will be planning and coordinating the program and they will be supported by a great team of volunteers who serve every month to make things run smoothly. The next Prime Timers event will be the annual Barbeque Picnic at Burroughs Park on Wednesday, May 4. It’s always lots of fun with good food. If you receive this newsletter and have never taken the step to get involved in our Senior Adult activities, this would be a good time to start. Please join us. Again, I express a personal word of gratitude and appreciation for all the willing volunteers who make this ministry outstanding and meaningful for so many. Your friend,
Buddy Cole, Barbara Scott, Karen Freeman
