POW Giving Paw Project
POW Giving Paw Project | AUTHOR VISIT - MELANIE CHRISM

The Giving PAW Project is a new POW initiative created to provide additional funding for specific grant requests from parents, students, faculty, staff, and administration of Westview. The project aims to improve the school in the following areas: Wildcat Enrichment, Student Educational Enhancement, Student Wellness, and Community. Teresa Taeger, Westview Librarian, was awarded the first grant, and in May, as a cap off to Reading Month, Westview students received a visit from local author Melanie Chrismer. We are thankful to POW for finding new, creative, and enriching ways to support our school.
Our students loved hearing from Melanie and her adventures researching space for her books. We are always looking for innovative ways to encourage reading with our students, and an author visit was the perfect addition to our Reading Month.
