Students can set up one-on-one meetings with Scholar Relations Officer for wraparound support throughout the year including including interview practice, career connectedness, FAFSA and CAFSA support as well as access to other professional resources.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Students applying and renewing in 2024-2025 collectively served 48,404 hours of community service. The majority of these hours were invested in local, Weld County nonprofits helping to further their missions.
OPPORTUNITIES TO ENHANCE SCHOOL & TRAINING EXPERIENCE

Bright Futures assists with opportunities for job shadows and internships as well as offering company site tours and industry meet and greets. Through Bright Futures, students can learn about new areas of career interest and gain real-world experience. These activities benefit local businesses by having the opportunity to recruit and build their own talent pipeline. The Scholar Relations officer can also connect students with one-on-one career coaching with an expert in the field.



PIVOT ENERGY INTERNSHIP
Pivot Energy established a paid internship program for two Bright Future’s students and donated $20,000 to help facilitate the 10-week internships.

Weld County’s future is looking brighter than ever. Together, we are ensuring that higher education and workforce training are within reach for every eligible student who wants to advance their skills, education, career and opportunities.
Bright Futures provides support to any eligible student who wants to pursue an industry credential, associate degree or bachelor’s degree by providing up to $14,000 in tuition assistance for eight semesters.
This investment benefits not only the student but also the Weld County’s economy as a whole. As students gain skills that are needed by local employers, they become part of our qualified labor force that helps Weld County thrive.
Donors can also benefit personally by receiving a Weld County Property Tax credit. This report can help you understand how to take full advantage of the tax credit while investing in local students.

BRIGHT FUTURES STUDENTS
Bright Futures is a Weld County workforce initiative focused on strengthening our local community. By providing tuition assistance for post-secondary education and training certifications, the program helps support the next generation as they build their futures. Investing in a more skilled and educated workforce benefits not only students, but the entire Weld County community.
Data from a recent Bright Futures alumni survey showed the majority of these graduates are finding employment and staying within their field of study.
