The Silo Hotel The Silo Hotel sets a new standard for luxury Cape Town hotel accommodation. A magical hotel towering above the V&A Waterfront surrounded by the natural wonder of South Africa‘s Mother City.

The Silo has been built in the grain elevator portion of the historic grain silo complex occupying six floors above Zeitz MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa). Zeitz MOCAA houses Africa‘s largest collection of contemporary African art.

The exterior of the building was designed by Thomas Heatherwick, Founder and Principal of the London-based Heatherwick Studio. From the outside, the greatest visible change to the building‘s original structure is the addition of the ingenious glass windows inserted into the geometry of the hotel floors. These multi-faceted windows bulge outward as if gently inflated.

By night, this transforms the building into a glowing beacon in the Table Bay harbour.

Leinster Hall is now home to The Stack – private members club and public brasserie. The illustrious 160-year old lady has been given a second youth, a coiffe and polish that sees her Georgian structure and Victorian fretwork shining.

Mombo Okavango Delta, Botswana Long known as ―the Place of Plenty,‖ Mombo boasts enormous concentrations of plains game and predators and is considered to be one of the best areas for game viewing in Africa.

Pakamisa Private Lodge In August 1996 Isabella Stepski fell in love with the unspoilt Pakamisa Mountain in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. By September the land was bought and then the hard work began!

In the first year they established the infrastructure with 52kms of dirt roads, and secured the 2,500 hectare park with 24kms of fencing. Pakamisa Private Game Reserve, which was once a cattle farm, is now pristine Savannah and Bushveld.

In December 1997 the superior stables were completed and Isabella‘s precious Arabian stud horses, imported from Spain, were in residence.

Perched on the edge of a magnificent mountain range, the ‗Spanish Ranch meets African Bush‘ styled lodge took four years to construct. Local stone and materials were hauled up the perilous dirt road, and finally in January 2001 the elegant lodge, reflecting Isabella‘s warm personality, welcomed its first guests.

Isabella has stocked the reserve with indigenous animals, steering clear of predators and dangerous beasts such as buffalo, to allow guests, horses and animals to live in safety and harmony.

We recently had the pleasure of spending a night over at The Fairway Hotel & Spa, and what a truly wonderful treat it was.

Attention to detail is clearly a top priority on meet and greet and we felt like we had just arrived home. Generous servings of fresh juice, flavoured water and muffins were offered to us whilst we checked in and the fireplace added that extra bit of romance to the rainy weather outside.

The Fairway Spa overlooking the golf course offers every bit of pampered luxury you could wish for. Attentive therapists take the extra time to ensure you are comfortable throughout your treatment, leaving your mind, body and soul completely rejuvenated.

Our luxurious bedroom with beautiful views of the golf course and roaming peacocks boasted every bit of opulence and tranquillity you could wish for including a complimentary mini bar.

Dinner in the fine dining Balata Restaurant was a culinary delight, the rainy weather and crackling fireplace provided the perfect romantic palette.

The menu offers a variety of dishes to suit every taste bud.

Under the leadership of Chef Jean-Pierre Siegenthaler every dish from the Beef Carpaccio, succulent Rib-Eye to the ‘to die for‘ Amarula Malva dessert left us with a promise of ‗we shall return‘ satisfaction.

With over 1000 unique nominees, a diverse international judging panel, comprising of 150 of the most respected minds in the industry, worked through each nominee in great detail to ensure all the criteria has been met across the 25 award categories.

Senorita Sufuentez and Gordo were living in London. An odd place to be introduced to the intricacies of Mexican food, but the place nonetheless. Forever fans of tequila, their hearts were open to the barrage of burrito bars and Mexican eateries and oh how they indulged.

As they were driving down through Africa on their way back home, Senorita and Gordo reminisced over fire-roasted cheesy quesadillas and killer guac about tequila-fuelled nights with friends. The Mayan moon shone a bit brighter, the planets aligned and (cue angel song) new paths were planned. Luckily for them, the most excellent Veektor Sufuentez and Thompadre were vibeing on the same vibes down here back in the motherland. Mad Mexicans through and through, they too had a yearning for a Mexican revolution. The four decided to band-of-brother it up.

Molori Safari Lodge Madikwe Molori Safari is situated deep within the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa‘s North West Province, bordering Botswana.

Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort Our independent resort was opened in 2015 however, the story begins in 2005, when the Czech owners decided to start their Zanzibar adventure with one goal in mind: to offer accommodation and service that will set the standard for luxury and elegance on Zanzibar Island.

When personally designing the resort, they decided to build only 16 villas, to ensure maximum privacy and individual service.
