Chef Julia Hattingh‟s 18-seat table d‟hôte restaurant in Observatory serves a 5-course chef‟s choice dinner and is, in her own words, her “daydream come true”. Leinster Hall is now home to The Stack – private members club and public brasserie. The illustrious 160-year old lady has been given a second youth, a coiffe and polish that sees her Georgian structure and Victorian fretwork shining.

She knows a club of note when she sees one, The Cape Town Club having had its time there, and gracefully survived a serious blaze just after The Stack moved in. She is back, she has a story to tell and a lot longer life to live yet.

The Stack was born on a fragrant afternoon in the monsoon season. Rain and gin flowed, as did the imaginations of Nigel and Sarah Pace.

Lions Valley Lodge Lions Valley Lodge is situated in the Nambiti Private Game Reserve. The lodge is within easy reach of the central Drakensberg and many of the historic battlefields. Pakamisa Private Lodge In August 1996 Isabella Stepski fell in love with the unspoilt Pakamisa Mountain in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. By September the land was bought and then the hard work began!

In the first year they established the infrastructure with 52kms of dirt roads, and secured the 2,500 hectare park with 24kms of fencing. Pakamisa Private Game Reserve, which was once a cattle farm, is now pristine Savannah and Bushveld.

In December 1997 the superior stables were completed and Isabella‟s precious Arabian stud horses, imported from Spain, were in residence.

Perched on the edge of a magnificent mountain range, the „Spanish Ranch meets African Bush‟ styled lodge took four years to construct. Local stone and materials were hauled up the perilous dirt road, and finally in January 2001 the elegant lodge, reflecting Isabella‟s warm personality, welcomed its first guests.

Isabella has stocked the reserve with indigenous animals, steering clear of predators and dangerous beasts such as buffalo, to allow guests, horses and animals to live in safety and harmony.

Pakamisa is a private, exclusive reserve open to residential guests only. Majestically perched on the high plateau of the Pakamisa Mountain, the lodge has breathtaking views of the evergreen valleys and plains of the Pongola River to the east and the rolling hills of natural bush of the Reserve in the west.

Luckily for them, the most excellent Veektor Sufuentez and Thompadre were vibeing on the same vibes down here back in the motherland. Mad Mexicans through and through, they too had a yearning for a Mexican revolution. The four decided to band-of-brother it up.

Molori Safari Lodge Madikwe Molori Safari is situated deep within the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa‟s North West Province, bordering Botswana.

The secluded lodge offers absolute privacy, while taking in breathtaking views of the Dwarsberg Mountains and the expansive Madikwe valley. At 75 000 hectares, Madikwe Game Reserve is South Africa‟s fifth largest Big Five game reserve, but offers so much more than the Big Five.

Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort Our independent resort was opened in 2015 however, the story begins in 2005, when the Czech owners decided to start their Zanzibar adventure with one goal in mind: to offer accommodation and service that will set the standard for luxury and elegance on Zanzibar Island.

When personally designing the resort, they decided to build only 16 villas, to ensure maximum privacy and individual service.
