The Silo Hotel The Silo Hotel sets a new standard for luxury Cape Town hotel accommodation. A magical hotel towering above the V&A Waterfront surrounded by the natural wonder of South Africa‘s Mother City.

The Silo has been built in the grain elevator portion of the historic grain silo complex occupying six floors above Zeitz MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa). Zeitz MOCAA houses Africa‘s largest collection of contemporary African art.

The exterior of the building was designed by Thomas Heatherwick, Founder and Principal of the London-based Heatherwick Studio. From the outside, the greatest visible change to the building‘s original structure is the addition of the ingenious glass windows inserted into the geometry of the hotel floors. These multi-faceted windows bulge outward as if gently inflated.

By night, this transforms the building into a glowing beacon in the Table Bay harbour.

The Silo Hotel has 28 rooms, including a spectacular one bedroom penthouse. Each room has been individually designed and decorated by the stylish wand of Liz Biden.

Leinster Hall is now home to The Stack – private members club and public brasserie. The illustrious 160-year old lady has been given a second youth, a coiffe and polish that sees her Georgian structure and Victorian fretwork shining.

Pakamisa Private Lodge In August 1996 Isabella Stepski fell in love with the unspoilt Pakamisa Mountain in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. By September the land was bought and then the hard work began!

In the first year they established the infrastructure with 52kms of dirt roads, and secured the 2,500 hectare park with 24kms of fencing. Pakamisa Private Game Reserve, which was once a cattle farm, is now pristine Savannah and Bushveld.

In December 1997 the superior stables were completed and Isabella‘s precious Arabian stud horses, imported from Spain, were in residence.

Perched on the edge of a magnificent mountain range, the ‗Spanish Ranch meets African Bush‘ styled lodge took four years to construct. Local stone and materials were hauled up the perilous dirt road, and finally in January 2001 the elegant lodge, reflecting Isabella‘s warm personality, welcomed its first guests.

Isabella has stocked the reserve with indigenous animals, steering clear of predators and dangerous beasts such as buffalo, to allow guests, horses and animals to live in safety and harmony.

As they were driving down through Africa on their way back home, Senorita and Gordo reminisced over fire-roasted cheesy quesadillas and killer guac about tequila-fuelled nights with friends. Luckily for them, the most excellent Veektor Sufuentez and Thompadre were vibeing on the same vibes down here back in the motherland. Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort Our independent resort was opened in 2015 however, the story begins in 2005, when the Czech owners decided to start their Zanzibar adventure with one goal in mind: to offer accommodation and service that will set the standard for luxury and elegance on Zanzibar Island.
