EMPLOYEE SCREENING Every prospective employee undergoes a thorough screening process as part of the application procedure. We utilize the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) LiveScan system to conduct comprehensive background checks before employment. These checks are performed by an external live scan operator or qualified law enforcement personnel, who electronically capture the applicant's fingerprints, verify identification, and input personal information into the system. The use of biological identifiers ensures accurate and reliable identification of each individual.

REGULAR COMMUNICATION We prioritize clear and open communication with parents. Through regular updates from your student's advisor, you will always be informed about their progress, any concerns, and the various activities they are involved in. Our goal is to build a strong partnership with you to support your student’s journey at Webb.

LEARNING FROM THE PAST: THE ALF MUSEUM

The logo of the Alf Museum is a peccary—a prehistoric pig-like mammal. Webb students discovered a new species of peccary during a collecting trip in the Mojave Desert in 1936.

This significant find inspired Raymond Alf, a Webb teacher and national collegiate track champion, to dedicate his life to paleontology, calling fossils “the documents of life.”

Special advisory dinners and outings are a few of the ways students develop meaningful relationships with their peers and advisors.

In advisory, students come to know and be supported by many members of the faculty and staff. Each student is assigned an adult advisor and a small group of students who work together to support their academic, social, and emotional developmental needs.

Each advising group meets formally once a week and has an opportunity to connect daily during chapel, assembly, and class meeting blocks. Over time, students build trusting relationships with their advisor, and the groups become centers of mutual support, interest, and activity. Through individual and group support, the advisory program helps students progress from learning (grade 9) to practicing (grade 10) to living (grade 11), and finally to loving and leaving behind (grade 12) our social, emotional, educational, and community values in the following mission-centered pillars:

Webb is test-blind and does not consider standardized tests like the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) or the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) in its application process. The Admission Team evaluates each applicant holistically, considering their academic performance, teacher recommendations, and personal experiences.

Our approach is designed to identify potential and excellence in future Webb students, recognizing the unique strengths and qualities each individual brings.

Webb awards $6.7 million annually in need-based aid. Applications for aid are available through Clarity: app.clarityapp.com.

The deadline to apply for aid is January 15.
