For new and experienced flyers, Tennessee Flight Training — an FAA-recognized flight school with multiple locations across Middle Tennessee — offers cost-efficient and flexible programming for Webb students in grades 6 to 12.

The total cost of the Private Pilot Training Program varies by student proficiency level, maintenance, weather, scheduling and more.

Timeline
Go at your own pace. While there is no one-size-fits-all total cost and completion time, a Private Pilot’s License can be achieved in six to eight months with steady progression.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The Tennessee Flight Training Program’s FAA-Certified Flight Instructors (CFI) are among the safest, most competent and experienced in the area, having logged more than 100,000 combined hours of flying time. Offering individualized coaching and a passion for success, instructors work one-on-one with each student at any point and frequency throughout the year to complete the Private Pilot Training Program virtually, remotely, on-site, or in a hybrid fashion.
PRIVATE PILOT TRAINING

Flight Instruction: $170/hour | Ground Instruction: $55/hour | Simulator Instruction: $55/hour
A requirement for all beginner and transfer students, the cost of the Private Pilot Training Program includes flight credit, a headset, the ASA Complete Private Pilot Kit (with a logbook, E6B calculator, plotter, Far/AIM, textbooks, and bag), administrative costs and scheduling fees. The first step in any pilot’s career, this Program helps students log the FAA’s minimum 40 hours of inflight training (the national average for completion is 75 flight hours) in a single-engine airplane while building foundational flying skills through dual (minimum 20 hours) and solo training (minimum 10 hours), crosscountry training (3 hours plus a minimum of 5 hours of solo cross-country training), and nighttime training (minimum 3 hours). Per FAA regulations, students must also log 2.5 simulator hours and 25-35 hours of one-on-one ground instruction with their CFI.
