National Volunteer Week is almost upon us and Volunteering Central invites anyone involved in volunteering to come in, out of the cold and celebrate the astounding contribution made by volunteers in our community. "This year, the theme is ‘making time’ and we are thrilled to have a selection of inspiring speakers who will share their volunteering stories and highlight how they enjoy making time to volunteer,” says Volunteering Central’s Gillian White. “We are keen to see volunteers from all walks of life join us, whether volunteering with a sports club, environmental group or organisation supporting local people. The celebration gives everyone a chance to see
what is going on out there and we hope volunteers will leave feeling really great about their contribution, having had a very pleasant hour mingling with others.”

This year’s celebration is taking place at Cinema Paradiso on Wednesday 22nd June from 5.306.30pm, followed by a showing of Hunt for the Wilderpeople with discounted tickets for all volunteers!
