ARE YOU A YOGA HERO?

The 6th International Day of Yoga (IDY) Wanaka is fast approaching, and we’re calling on volunteers to help make this community celebration a success!

Scheduled for Saturday, 21 June, and hosted at the Wanaka Community Hub, starting at 8.00am, the event will unite yoga lovers of all levels to mark this global day of yoga, wellness, and connection. The event is donation-based, making it accessible to everyone in our community. While participants are busy unrolling their mats and stretching their bodies, we need volunteers to assist with reception and registration.

As a volunteer, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth check-ins and a warm welcome for attendees. Best of all, volunteers can join as many sessions as they’d like. It is an opportunity to stretch your body and warm your heart.

This year’s theme, 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health', highlights the profound impact yoga has on physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. It also marks a special milestone - one decade of celebrating this important day in India.

By volunteering, you’ll be part of an uplifting event that brings the whole community together, embracing the transformative power of yoga for both the individual and the planet.

As Mint Charitable Trust grows, we are on the hunt for a new space to base our organisation. We are searching for a groundlevel location, around 70 square metres, ideally nestled near Three Parks, Gordon Road or the Wanaka township.

We are a local non-pro t, empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families in the Upper Clutha Region. Our vision is to create a dynamic central hub for our Mint Community, ideally being alongside other like-minded organisations or businesses.
