“Supporting local families!” The Upper Clutha Children’s Medical Trust was formed in November 2009 with the purpose of ‘supporting local families who are experiencing financial hardship because of the illness of their child’. To be considered for assistance, a child’s family needs to be resident in the Upper Clutha region. Assistance is available to children from birth until they finish their schooling. Grants are made on the recommendation of a medical practitioner or other suitably qualified health or health related professional. To date the Trust has supported over ninety families in many different ways: • Financial assistance for medical treatment of children by specialists or other appropriate providers where government

funding is not provided e.g. counselling, speech language therapy, psychiatric consultations. • Transport and accommodation costs for a child and/or caregiver where it is unavailable. • Other support and assistance which are considered to be consistent with the charitable purpose of the Trust including providing assistance for activities that are considered to contribute to the management of medical problems e.g. special equipment. For further information (including application forms) look at the Trust’s website: www.uccmedtrust.co.nz Postal address: Upper Clutha Children’s Medical Trust PO Box 678 Wanaka 9343

Sitting Pretty Privately tucked away is this most appealing home which sits nicely elevated and north facing to bask in sunshine. The hedges provide additional privacy and good shelter to take advantage of the neat outdoor living areas. The four bedrooms, separate lounge and separate TV room (or fifth bedroom) and located between the schools and township makes this the perfect family home. Two garages provide plenty of room for all of the toys, which there will be time for as the section is mature and designed to be low maintenance. GV $680,000.
