Lake Wanaka will once again play host to the QLDC New Year’s Eve celebrations, right in the heart of Wanaka on the lakefront. The busy lakefront will swell with event manager Craig Gallagher expecting in excess of 4000 people heading down to enjoy the music - ‘It’s an amazing community atmosphere for all ages’. 3 bands will play live kicking off from 8pm through to 1am, with the infamous fireworks
display, managed by local pyro technician Patrick Rietveld, to bring in the New Year. Queenstown High School Band Bath Salts will play from 8pm-8.45pm, before the Killer Seas take to the stage and Versificator will headline from 11pm through until 1am. The Killer Seas is fronted by local man Tai who is a regular muso in and around Wanaka - guarantees a killer set.
