The team at Ray White Wanaka is once again joining forces with Community Link to help make Christmas a little brighter for local families in need.
Each year, Community Link’s Christmas Appeal provides food parcels, financial support, and gifts to families across the Upper Clutha who are finding the season especially challenging. This year, the need is greater than ever.
“Community Link really appreciates the support from Ray White and gift donors. This year has been tough for many across the Upper Clutha. Families are feeling the squeeze, and for some, Christmas is already looking
more stressful than joyful,” says Community Link’s Lindsey Schofield. “Our Christmas Appeal aims to change that. We encourage those wanting to give to consider board games, sports equipment or vouchers for local activities - things that help families spend quality time together and create happy memories.” If you would like to support the appeal, you can do so by donating new, unwrapped gifts. Gifts and donations can be dropped off at the Ray White office at 19 Sir Tim Wallis Drive, Three Parks before Monday, 15 December. Every donation helps bring a little hope and happiness to a local family. Together, we can make sure Christmas is a time of joy, connection and community spirit here in the Upper Clutha.

Food For Love Christmas Bake Sale is Back!
The festive season is upon us, and Food For Love’s annual Christmas Bake Sale is back for 2025.
Scheduled for Saturday 6 December from 9.00am at New World Wanaka on Dunmore Street, the bake sale is lined up to feature everyday favourites alongside special Christmas cakes and treats.
Several local cafés and bakeries have embraced the Christmas spirit and will be donating trays of cookies made using the butter purchased for $11,500 at the recent Food For Love gala auction.
Food For Love is calling out to individuals, businesses and community groups to join in the fun and donate baking if they can.
Professional skills are not required. Workplaces could come together to run a festive bake-o , friends could bake together, or individuals could whip up one of their favourite cakes, slices or Christmas sweet-treats.
All proceeds will support Food For Love, a local charity providing fresh, nutritious meals to individuals and families during challenging times. Last year, the organisation prepared more than 9,000 meals. Further information is available at www.foodforlovewanaka.com.
