Please increase those following distances to ensure safety. 09/12/2014 Police apprehended a driver for excess breath alcohol, he blew 392mg which is in the new penalty range and UHFHLYHG D ÂżQH DQG GHPHULW SRLQWV 11/12/2014 Police dealt with a report of a former partner accessing the gmail account and Facebook account obtaining the personal messages and reposting these as screen shots. This was a breach of a protection order. The offender was arrested and placed before the court. 13/12/2014 Police apprehended a driver for excess breath alcohol, he blew 477mg which means a court appearance and OHDGV WR GLVTXDOLÂżFDWLRQ 13/12/2014 Police attended a domestic dispute at a Wanaka address which is still under investigation. 3ROLFH DSSUHKHQGHG D \HDU ROG PDOH LQ UHODWLRQ excess breath alcohol when he recorded a breath level reading of 400mg. He left the police station very happy to have a $200 WLFNHW DQG GHPHULW SRLQWV Please familiarise yourself with the amended drink driving levels especially as we are heading into the festive party season. We will have a heavy enforcement effort to improve road safety in our area. Police will also be making renewed efforts in the area of speeding so remember the speed on the signs is the maximum speed. Police also attended two SAR operations for overdue trampers and climbers all of which were resolved very quickly. Members of our Alpine Cliff Rescue team assisted at Mt Cook, recovering the body of a fallen climber on Sunday.
