Save the date! Wanaka & Districts Lions Club and Wanaka Search and Rescue 4WD Safari, Snow Farm along Pisa Range to Lowburn is on Saturday, 8 January 2022. With successful trips through West Wanaka, Bendigo, Hillend and Forest Range Stations, this year we plan to take you on another journey through even more diverse country from the Snow Farm along the Pisa Range to Lowburn. This is a not-to-be missed experience. Spectacular sub-alpine landscapes, stunning mountain views of the Cromwell district, including Lake Dunstan, plus the tapestry of vineyards and cherry orchards on the valley floor. The descent into Lowburn is breathtaking.
There will be a free BBQ at the Lowburn Hall courtesy of the Wanaka Lions Club. The trip is intended to be a family day out and is perfect for those who have a 4WD vehicle but never really get to take it off the road. Search and Rescue and Shotover 4WD vehicles will be placed among the convoy for added safety. Wanaka Lions have had another very busy year.
