Wanaka Upper Clutha Lions started more than a hundred years ago, Lions Clubs International was founded on the idea that those who can help, should. These same values still drive the service given by Lions all round the world today. At a more local level, between Labour Weekend and late November, Wanaka Upper Clutha Lions are having their annual fundraiser of Christmas cakes, made to Lions’ own unique recipe, each presented in its attractive festive box at $25; ideal for a Christmas gift or a treat for family and friends. Funds raised by the cakes will go towards The Child Mobility Foundation to provide, monitor, and maintain Hart Walkers for
children with severe mobility difficulties. Each child who can be fitted with a Hart Walker has the chance to see their world from the same standing perspective as other children, to be mobile and more able to take part in the world around them independently. As Lions, we appreciate very much your support given so freely over the years, to help us, to help others.
