Wanaka Community Workshop is all about preventing waste (both solid waste and carbon emissions), helping people to save money by using what they already have, creating a social space where people can connect with and learn from each other, celebrating and sharing intergenerational knowledge, and upskilling people with valuable, practical skills. Whether you want to pop by for a cuppa and a chat with some friendly faces, participate in a workshop, or get on the tools and help with someone else’s project (like building pest traps for the local Wanaka native plant restoration projects), WCW is where you can access expert advice and resources for your own making or repairing project.
