he Upper Clutha Children’s Medical Trust Melbourne Cup Day 1st November is fast approaching and Wanaka is invited to be part of this exciting day to be held at the Lone Star Wanaka. The Upper Clutha Children’s Medical trust was set up in 2009 to support the children of Upper Clutha families who are finding it difficult to meet the costs of medical treatment. In that time it has helped 35 families and has made a big difference to their lives Doors open at 2.30pm and punters can arrive at any time. The races from Ellerslie will be televised through out the restaurant at 2.53, 3.38, and 4.25 pm and the Melbourne Cup at 5pm. Bets are $2.00 with three prizes per race. The Melbourne Cup Race will be a $10 sweep stake.

Tickets are $25 which includes a drink and nibbles, Raceday platters will also be available for purchase.
