Whether you know Irving from his role at the helm of the careers of the Eagles, Steely Dan, Bon Jovi and Chelsea Handler and many more; or Shelli as the driving force behind the remodel of the Fabulous Forum, the managing partner of The Azoff Restaurant Group which brought The Apple Pan and Nate ‘n Al’s delicatessen back from the brink of closure; or their tireless philanthropy; it is evident that the Azoffs are a credit to our city.

Shelli and Irving, you have our immense admiration, and our gratitude.

Beginning with our inaugural season in 2013, The Wallis has strived to be a vibrant civic hub and community resource, and a leader in sharing exceptional arts experiences and education resources that reflect the diversity and pioneering spirit of the city we call home. CREATIVE AGING PROGRAMS GRoW @ The Wallis embraces the value of creative aging. We offer two programs for those ages 55 and older: Staged Stories and Beyond Words, designed to help students tap into their artistry and find new ways to share their personal stories.

Thanks to a generous gift from Gregory Annenberg Weingarten and Family, our campus includes a wing dedicated to sharing the arts with learners of all ages.

Arts learning is integral to all that we do at The Wallis: connecting audiences with the very best in the performing arts; using the power of the arts to build community and address pressing social issues; and responding to critical needs in the greater community through arts leadership, collaboration, and partnership. Our GRoW programs serve youth, serious young artists, and older adults, in classrooms, online, and inside of our theaters.

SCHOOL PARTNERS PROGRAM The Wallis’ School Partners Program welcomes thousands of Los Angeles area 1st through 12th grade students each year to special student matinee performances with local, national, and international artists in music, dance, and theater.

GRoW @ The Wallis also offers master classes with visiting artists who provide exceptional opportunities for young people to learn from some of the greatest artists of our time such as Suzanne Farrell, Judith Jamison, Patti LuPone, Arturo Sandoval.

IN SCHOOL ARTIST RESIDENCIES As a new school year begins and students return to in-person learning, access to the arts is more important than ever. GRoW @ The Wallis is pleased to offer In-School Residencies to help bring joy, creativity, and relevance to students across Los Angeles County.
