With deepest thanks, we welcome all of you gathered here tonight to raise funds and raise spirits in an evening of gratitude, hope, and joy.
It has been truly inspirational to watch how our beloved Greater Los Angeles community has come together to provide relief in the wake of the Eaton and Palisades Fires. Tonight is no exception. Your incredible generosity will make a positive impact on the lives of members of the arts community affected by the fires of January 2025. Thank you for coming together as we harness the power of the performing arts to build community and to build hope.
There is no individual more fitting for us to honor this evening than our beloved namesake and unparalleled champion, WALLIS ANNENBERG . It is difficult to name an individual who has done more for the Greater Los Angeles Community –from community treasures like The Wallis, the Annenberg Beach House, and GenSpace; to grand scale civic projects like the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing; to the innumerable organizations, programs, and projects that have been brought to life through her support. Wallis, your generosity fills so many lives with hope and joy each and every day.
Likewise, it is a privilege to inaugurate The Wallis Icon Award by acknowledging DOMINIC NG , a champion for culture and social impact in Southern California and beyond. As Chairman & CEO of East West Bank, Dominic has enriched the broader community, providing both philanthropic support and exemplary leadership to a myriad of cultural and civic organizations. It is in the same spirit of gratitude, warmth, and excellence that Dominic brings to every project he touches that we recognize him as our inaugural Wallis Icon.
We wish to thank the members of our Honorary and Host Committees, as well as The Wallis Board of Directors, for their extraordinary dedication and commitment. We also acknowledge a special group of Wallis supporters who have made it possible for us to dedicate this evening to raising funds for wildfire relief. And of course, we express our tremendous gratitude to the artists who have donated their time this evening to help us use that wonderfully powerful tool — the performing arts — to impact so many deserving members of the arts community who suffered losses during the wildfires.
In closing, we dedicate this evening to all who suffered losses during the wildfires. May The Wallis Delivers: An Evening to Benefit Wildfire Recovery not only provide financial support, but may it also serve as a symbol of our commitment to healing the Greater Los Angeles community, together.
We could not be more honored to share this evening with you. With warmth and gratitude,

of the Wallis
of Directors and entire Wallis staff,
Tonight marks more than a gathering — it symbolizes the beginning of a new era of unity and resilience. At the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, our mission has always been to serve as a vibrant hub for community connection, creative expression, and the free exchange of ideas. In moments of crisis, this mission takes on even greater meaning.
It is both fitting and deeply moving that we come together this evening alongside our distinguished honorees, WALLIS ANNENBERG and DOMINIC NG . Their unwavering commitment to uplifting communities and transforming lives through philanthropy sets a powerful example. In honoring them, we extend our collective support to those most affected by the Eaton and Palisades fires — continuing the legacy of generosity and compassion that they so profoundly embody.
To all those impacted by these devastating fires, we offer not only our heartfelt solidarity, but also our resources, our resolve, and our belief in renewal.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to our honorary co-chairs, Shelli & Irving Azoff, and benefit co-chairs Cathy & Mark Louchhiem and Susan Strauss whose unyielding dedication and efforts have been instrumental in making this evening possible. Your exemplary actions reassure us all of the power we hold when we lead with open hearts.
, thank you for your vision and your steadfast belief in the power of The Wallis. Since the inception, you have championed this institution not only as a cultural treasure, but as a vital community resource. Your efforts continue to shape The Wallis into a beacon of world-class performance, arts education, and outreach. Tonight’s benefit reaffirms our belief that the performing arts do more than entertain — they connect, heal, and build. They are
Thank you for the meaningful difference you continue to make. You are a beacon of Light!
ROBERT VAN LEER
Your presence here tonight, and your incredible support as we gather to raise funds for those impacted by the wildfires of January 2025, is nothing short of awe inspiring. The highest power of the arts is to improve individual lives and societies at large. The message that resounds from our stage this evening is that our Greater Los Angeles community will always come together to support its members. That message could not be more deeply reflected than by your contributions, your participation, and your words of kindness as we worked to bring this event to life.
It was always our intention to honor WALLIS ANNENBERG and to present DOMINIC NG with the inaugural Wallis Icon Award this evening. After the events of January 2025 led us to transform this event into a benefit to support wildfire recovery, the participation of these two remarkable individuals took on an even greater relevance.
Wallis Annenberg embodies the values and spirit of Los Angeles: pioneering, innovative, expansive, and compassionate. It is not an overstatement to say that the performing arts would not be what they are today were it not for the generosity and leadership of Wallis Annenberg. Her impact extends far beyond Southern California; and the arts are just one of the many areas in which her dedication has a broad and lasting impact. It is this organization’s honor to bear Wallis’ name and to celebrate her tonight.
Dominic Ng is indeed our icon. Dominic’s ability to create pathways to leaders of industry and business to enrich the arts in Southern California, which in turn makes our entire community more vibrant and more inclusive, is nothing short of visionary. As Chairman & CEO of East West Bank he was among the first to step forward with incredible generosity to the victims of the 2025 wildfires, ensuring to include impacted members of the arts community. Mr. Ng has been quoted as saying that “art and culture give a city its spirit” and he continues to inspire us in the ways in which he embodies this belief. We thank and congratulate Mr. Ng this evening.
What makes live performing arts unique is the presence of the audience. Put another way, the understanding of the value of community is intrinsic to our field. As Executive Director & CEO of The Wallis, I am indebted to the particular community that makes The Wallis its place to gather. To our outstanding Board of Directors, I am humbled by your generosity and your incredible commitment to this organization. We have been privileged to have stellar Honorary Co-Chairs Shelli and Irving Azoff, and Honorary Vice-Chairs David Bohnett and Regina and Gregory Annenberg Weingarten as an integral part of this endeavor. I also wish to thank the Honorary Committee and the Host Committee for The Wallis Delivers, as well as the artists who have donated their talents. Your participation has helped us exceed our fundraising expectations and will make a meaningful impact on artists and arts workers impacted by the wildfires. And of course, I wish to extend my tremendous appreciation to the outstanding staff of The Wallis for their dedication, their comradery, and their hard work.
Thank you for joining us this evening and for your belief in the power of the performing arts to help us rise from the ashes. We are honored to have you with us at The Wallis tonight and always.

Annenberg Foundation CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD, PRESIDENT & CEO
Wallis Annenberg is a visionary who uses philanthropy as a powerful instrument to improve the well-being of people and communities, not only by addressing vexing societal problems, but also by creating new pathways to fulfillment, excellence, and success. As she has said, “I’ve tried to focus not just on giving, but on innovating.”
Her innovative giving ranges from education to arts and culture, from medical research to environmental stewardship, from social justice to animal welfare — always guided by the Annenberg Foundation’s core values of community, compassion, diversity, and fairness.
She is a recipient of the 2022 National Humanities Medal, awarded by the President of the United States of America, which “honors an individual or organization whose work has deepened the nation’s understanding of the human experience, broadened citizens’ engagement with history or literature, or helped preserve and expand Americans’ access to cultural resources.”
Since assuming chairmanship of the Foundation in 2009, Wallis’ robust philanthropy has impacted more than 2,700 nonprofits and other organizations. She has also funded special projects that expand the boundaries of traditional philanthropy.
For instance, driving by the beach one day, it was Wallis’ idea to save a historical landmark in Santa Monica and turn it into the area’s only free, open-to-the-public beach house, now called the Annenberg Community Beach House. She also helped preserve the landmark post office building in Beverly Hills and create The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Wallis has poured her lifelong appreciation for the human-animal bond into the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace in Playa Vista — a one-of-a-kind destination devoted to facilitating rescue animal adoptions, funding education initiatives and academic research — and providing fun for visitors.
Noting the rapidly exploding tech sector in Los Angeles, Wallis launched AnnenbergTech and PledgeLA in 2018 to encourage and educate members of LA’s burgeoning tech and venture capital sectors to be guided by the principles of diversity and inclusion, and to make a commitment to community philanthropy.
In 2022, the Wallis Annenberg GenSpace opened its doors to older adults in Los Angeles providing a destination dedicated to enriching and expanding the lives of older adults by forging new relationships and creative expression through storytelling, technology, art and horticultural therapy in beautiful green spaces. Based in LA’s Koreatown, one of the densest and most culturally diverse neighborhoods in the United States – GenSpace is reimagining what senior life can look like. A neighborhood space for creating relationships across generations, GenSpace not only offers classes to its members but also serves as a think tank on longevity itself, investigating how to change the outdated conversation that tends to dominate how we think and talk about aging. GenSpace is as fresh and tech-forward as the Rem Koolhaas-designed building in which it is located.
Wallis is a life trustee of the University of Southern California and has been honored by numerous organizations, such as the Kennedy Center, Americans for the Arts, the Shoah Foundation, and the California African American Museum. She serves on a number of boards, including the California Science Center, the Music Center and the Performing Arts Center, the LA Philharmonic, the LA County Museum of Art, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, the Harlem Children’s Zone and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
She is the proud mother of four children and five grandchildren.
Inaugural
Recipient of THE WALLIS ICON AWARD IN VISIONARY LEADERSHIP
Dominic Ng, Chairman and CEO of East West Bank, is the inaugural recipient of THE WALLIS ICON AWARD, in recognition of his visionary leadership in corporate philanthropy and his longstanding commitment to Los Angeles’ civic and cultural institutions.
Since joining East West Bank in 1991, Dominic has transformed it from a $600 million savings and loan into the largest independent bank headquartered in Southern California, with $76 billion in assets and more than 550,000 customers worldwide.
Headquartered in Pasadena, the bank serves a wide range of clients—from individuals to major corporations—across industries including entertainment, healthcare, manufacturing, clean energy, infrastructure and real estate. East West also partners with private equity firms to support investment and expansion. Bank Director ranked East West the #1 Top Performing Bank in both 2023 and 2024.
Dominic has redefined the role of a business leader in public life—combining financial expertise with a deep sense of civic responsibility. He was named Banker of the Year by American Banker and Business Person of the Year from the Los Angeles Business Journal . In 2024, the Los Angeles Times included him among its “L.A. Influentials”—a group of change makers shaping the future of the city. Dominic is a longtime board member and former campaign chair of United Way of Greater Los Angeles, where he
received United Way Worldwide’s highest honor, the Alexis de Tocqueville Award, presented to individuals who demonstrate the highest levels of commitment to community service and philanthropy.
He currently serves on the governing boards of Mattel and the University of Southern California and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He previously served on the boards of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
Dominic’s relationship with The Wallis and the Annenberg Foundation is both personal and purposeful. In addition to collaborating on charitable initiatives, he has served on the Annenberg Foundation’s investment committee, helping guide key objectives that align financial stewardship with community impact. In 2023, he presented the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts board member Gregory Annenberg Weingarten with the Holocaust Museum LA’s Jona Goldrich Visionary Award.
The Wallis Icon Award acknowledges Dominic’s role in strengthening the institutions and communities that shape Los Angeles.
