If there's any advice we could give you for stewarding your finances, this is the secret! Tithing is simply giving back the first 10% of your paycheck to God through the local church. After all, He's the reason you have your job in the first place. Thi discipline will carry over into other areas of your life. 2) Use HONEY for promo codes. If you're a Disney lover, this place always has a fresh stock of Mickey ears, hats, jewerly, and other souvenirs all donated from Disney! The rest of their thrift selection is pretty great too! 5) Milk those college discounts. You're only in college for one season of your life! Put that STUDENT ID badge & .edu email to good use! The first day is always easy isn’t it? About a year and a half ago I decided I was going to have weight loss surgery. It seems like it was aeons ago, but I made that decision in January of 2017. I clearly remember my first appointment at the surgeon’s office. There were to be a number of different steps to take in order to get the insurance approval for surgery. Among the different requirements I had to meet, I had to be consistent in either losing weight or not gaining any throughout the six months the process would take before surgery. I would have to visit the doctor monthly to ensure I was meeting this requirement. If at any point in time I gained weight, the process would automatically restart and the six month countdown would start all over again. I obviously did not want this so I promised myself I would commit to the program. The first day of the diet was so easy. I was full of excitement of what this process meant; so not eating certain things and committing to a workout regiment was a piece of cake! That excitement faded quickly and when day number 10 and day number 30 and the third month rolled around, I was not as excited and was DONE with the process. I was so ready to have surgery and accelerate the process. If my goal was to have surgery and accomplish my health goals there was no way to accelerate the process. I tell you this because isn’t that often the case in our Christian walk? We have a desire, an end game and we set out to accomplish it and the first day we are full of excitement and commitment but when we don’t immediately see a result, the excitement fades and reality starts to set in. It’s a journey, a process, a season which you have been entrusted with. Many times these seasons that require an extra dose of commitment come because we are growing. Bird Scooters are an easy way to get around town Atlanta Zoo. Need we say more? while also getting a scenic view! They're just $1 to start and you pay as you go, so it fits any budget. Ponce City Market. A fun place if you’re looking to shop or grab a quick bite to eat. There are also a lot of MARTA. Feel like a local and use this transit train places around Ponce City Market if you’re looking for system to easily get to places you need to go. There are cute picture spots. If you’re looking for a sweet snack, many convenient stops near all the hot spots! you can’t go wrong with a scoop from Batter Cookie Dough Counter or a tasty frozen popsicle from King FOOD TO EAT: of Pops! Grindhouse Burger. Create your own tasty burger by choosing whatever toppings you like best! Make sure you get their special grindhouse sauce and fried pickles!
Skyline Park is located on top of Ponce City Market. There you can play some carnival-style games, ride rides or even play a round of mini golf. You also get a magnificent view of the city (hence the name).
Chick-Fil-A . Atlanta is also the home of the FIRST EVER Chick-Fil-A and the FIRST Moe’s! So you’re definitely going to want to check those out if you’re a fan of either.
Piedmont Park which is easily accessed by using the belt-line behind Ponce City Market! (Also a great time to rent a Bird scooter!)
Taco Mac. A sports style restaurant with maybe some of the best wings I’ve ever had. I don’t take a trip to ATL without stopping here. Mary Mac’s Tea Room. If you’re looking for some good southern dining this is the place for you. You’ll usually find a line OUT THE DOOR. You can’t go wrong with the Fried Green Tomatoes or the Fried chicken and mashed potatoes. The Varsity. This restaurant is a real staple. You have the choice to either sit at a traditional-style restaurant table or go down memory lane and sit at an ACTUAL school desk. Also make sure to grab yourself a classic Varsity paper hat to take in the whole experience. You can’t go wrong with a classic hamburger and fries! Superica. If you’re looking for some DELICIOUS Tex Mex food. Atlanta Breakfast Club. Who doesn't love breakfast? Expect a long wait time, but their staple Chicken & Waffles is worth it! In the heart of downtown, this place is a convenient stop before exploring the city. Jeni's Ice Cream. There's a reason this decadent ice cream shop has gone viral. Its all-original flavors, fresh-made waffle cones, and topping-combos are all the cherry on top to this cute, ATL fave. COFFEE SHOPS:
Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park. Across from the park is an indoor museum-style center with exhibits on MLK & his wife. If you plan ahead, participate in the walking tour of the historic sites around and even sign up for a FREE guided tour of King's birth home. Centennial Olympic Park is the perfect place to just hang out and relax. It’s also in walking distance of some other fun places to check out in Atlanta like the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coke, and Skyview Atlanta. Atlanta Braves. If you’re a sports fan, make your way out to Suntrust Park to catch a Braves game! CNN Center. If you are hanging out around Centennial Park and need to grab a bite to eat, there is a food court (and Starbucks) located inside the CNN Center. Atlanta Botanical Garden. A beautiful display of different types of plants and flowers and plant sculptures. Currently they have an exhibit called Imaginary Worlds: Alice’s Wonderland through October 27th. And during the holidays they have a beautiful night time light experience. Definitely worth checking out! High Museum of Art. If you love looking at art, this is the place for you! It is the leading art museum in the Southeast US, so you know you’ll be in for a treat!

Pro Tip: I would also recommend getting the Atlanta City Pass if you’re planning on doing more than one of the more ‘touristy’ things.
