Full Sail is a school for the creatives. Whether you're musically inclined, obsessed with film, or an active gamer, anyone can find a place here. It is unlike any school you’ve ever been to. Be prepared for a fast-paced, exciting journey as you are literally plunged into your passions. Here’s some advice on how to succeed: 1. GRADES COME SECOND. Weird right? Not many schools would say this but actually more important than your GPA is your GPS score. You’re probably thinking, “What’s that?” GPS points are earned by attending events, seminars, and community work.

You might not think you have time for these things, but trust us, they’re worth making time for & are always a fun experience!

2. NETWORK! NETWORK! NETWORK! Every Full Sailer knows this lovely term. It’s important to not only make friends but to also network with people within your program and outside! This is how many grads obtain jobs once they graduate. It’s a great way as well to learn about different fields that otherwise you may not get experience or exposure in.

3. LEARN TO SLEEP IN YOUR CAR. No but really. This is a 24-hour school where stuff is always happening, productions are being filmed, and music is being recorded. Classes can be long & opportunities may keep you away from your bed. But trust us, it’s WORTH IT

4. HALL OF FAME IS HOMECOMING WEEK At an art school, we don’t get the whole experience of football games and homecomings.

We get something better. Hall of Fame week is packed with events that bring successful graduates in to give advice to current students. It provides opportunities to check out new gear being released into the industry (top tech companies host showcases), and there are plenty of live music, food trucks, and block parties. Make sure you get a week off of work for this!

5. CREATE SOMETHING! I mean duh you are always creating something at an art school, but create something outside of your assigned work. You have access to equipment that is way out of all our budgets.

Take advantage of that and make something for your portfolio that you’ll be proud to show the world!

adulting “Adulting” is the term used to label a millennial who mimics things they see “real adults” do in an attempt to trick people into believing that they are classified member of the successful adult community. This inevitable stage of life plagues those in their twenty-somethings as they begin to take on new responsibilities & roles.

If you find yourself silently laughing, chances are that you’re all too familiar with the irony and confusion that characterizes this stage of life.

You might even liken this season to your childhood memories of playing Mario Kart -- you know, when you were too young to understand the rules of the game, racing along the track thinking you’re in first place the entire time, only to get to the end and realize that you’ve been staring at the wrong screen.

No one ever promised that adulting would be easy, which is why we’ve curated and collected a few pieces of advice from one of the “adultier” adults at The Voice.

3. Don’t look for a “perfect” mate.

Rather, ask God to lead you to the spouse who He will grow you with.

4. When you are a parent, be honest with your children about mistakes you’ve made in your own life. Feeling your parents are perfect can lead to unrealistic expectations.

5. Laugh at yourself often. It helps you not take life too seriously!

6. Create traditions that will outlive you.

7. Celebrate daily. Those memories will carry you in the difficult times.

So, you’re going to London? I am already jealous! It’s one of my favorite cities in the world. With something for everyone, there’s so much to do and see, and you won’t have a minute to spare. First things first, explore the iconic London landmarks before you head out to see the rest of what makes the city so unique.

FREE Must-See Places in London: -Buckingham Palace -Big Ben & The Palace of Westminster -Tower Bridge (Not to be confused with the London Bridge, very different.)

-Tower of London* -Westminster Abbey -Piccadilly Circus Once you visit these spots, you should head out to see the less touristy areas in the city and get a bite to eat! London has many instaworthy markets where you can shop, eat and experience the culture. Eating at these local markets is cheaper than eating in the touristy areas.

Get your fish and chips fix in? Great! Ready to take in London’s best views? I am partial to some of these more than others, but they are all beautiful. London is a great mix of urban and green areas. All these areas are free to visit unless otherwise stated.

-The Sky Garden -The Shard* -Primrose Hill -Hampstead Heath (Parliament Hill) -The London Eye* These are the London essentials, but there’s so much more to explore. If you’re a thrill seeker I highly recommend scaling the O2 Arena. It’s a great fun and you get an incredible view of the city. I can’t leave out the museums the city has to offer. Many of them are free and so full of history, culture and art. You won’t be disappointed or bored. You can also catch a show on the West End, which features many shows from Broadway. Lastly, before you leave London, don’t forget to try the tea and have a sweet treat. There are bakeries and coffee shops to suit everybody. If you’re like me you’ll leave London planning on when you’ll be back.
