Drainage Superintendent Alleges Assault, Later Recants by ZACH JUNKIN The VOICE
In a police report obtained by The Voice, a Town employee has recanted allegations of assault after a confrontation with Fenwick residents who claim he threw himself to the ground. On September 9 2015, Mike Zimmer, Chief Building Official and Drainage Superintendent for the Town of Pelham, attended a meeting with Fenwick residents informing them that he and several water management engineers would be evaluating drainage on private properties in the area.

NRP HOST FRAUD TALK Fraud and elder abuse were the focus of a recent presentation given by the Niagara Regional Police at The Centre de Santé Communautaire in Welland. Det. Cst. Angela Day of the NRP’s central fraud unit spoke to a crowd of fifty people, many of them older adults, on different types of fraud and how residents can best avoid falling prey to them.

On Saturday April 9, the Short Hills Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association hosted their annual installation dinner at the Station #3 firehouse in North Pelham. After the meal, a number of firefighters were recognized for their accomplishments and service.
