Tropical tastes to tickle
The 9th Pelham High Reunion will take place on Saturday September 24th, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. at Lipa Park, Oille Road, North Pelham. Registration will be $15.00.
BASEBALL continued from Page 2 and played along with the Beamsville Stingers to complete their team. Trevor Heaslip and Jason Sviergula and Ethan Krick all pitched a strong game. Lucas Riley continued to chalk up the RBI’s and stolen bases. Madison Matiesh, Hailey Whitely, Isabella Michael along with teammate Kasey Buttner gave the Stingers pitching crew a challenging
third inning! The Willowbrook Nurseries Peewee Pelham Panthers continued their winning streak through both games this week. Tuesdays 7-4 win against Pelham 1 saw strong outings by Anderson Stulp, Cole Langendeon and Connor Denbak on the mound. Friday’s slow start against Beamsville saw Jacob Marazzo in the fourth sacrificing in the first two runs. Cade Royer batted in the winning runs in the
sixth, with Mike Dykstra having another strong game. The Panthers 9-8 win gives them a 4-0 record. Go Panthers Go!! The Fonthill Dental Midget team returned to their winning ways with an 11-1, five inning victory over Thorold. The team started strong with a 5 run first inning highlighted by a right field triple from Eric. The Pelham outfielders quenched some developing Thorold rallies with
stellar plays by Graham Albrecht to chase down a long fly and double up a runner at second, and Dawson Lafleur chasing down a right field blast. The strong and diverse pitching squad this time relied upon Jake and Eric, issuing fewer walks than strike outs and only a smattering of hits due to fine defensive plays. Pelham now sports a 3 win, 1 loss record, and a combined 48 runs for and only ten against.
