One police officer shoots another on Roland Rd. BY VOICE STAFF A Niagara Regional Police Service constable was shot by a fellow officer early last Thursday afternoon during an “altercation” in North Pelham, according to Special Investigations Unit spokesperson Monica Hud-
on, addressing the news media later that evening. Hudon spoke near the scene of the shooting, which took place shortly after 12 noon near the intersection of Effingham Street and Roland Road in North Pelham. The Hamilton Spectator reported that Det. Sgt.
Shane Donovan fired as many as five shots, hitting Const. Nathan Parker. Unconfirmed witness reports to the Voice had Parker wearing a regulation bulletproof vest, and being hit in the leg, chest, and face, and conscious until paramedics arrived. The shooting fol-

That was Bill, good friend of my brother-inlaw Marten, when he heard that Mart was joining the Mississippi ride. Bill's a staunch Republican, retired large business owner in California, thinks Trump is a national disgrace, and hasn't slept well the last couple of years. "That was Bill again," said Mart, frowning, as he viewed Bill's most recent text. "I told him we'd be in Greenville, MississipSee COLUMN SIX Page 12
