Overwhelmingly the Orihuela Costa asked for a pressure washer that could be used exclusively in the Orihuela Costa. The request was agreed and just last week the equipment was received by the mayor and the Councillor for Cleaning and RSU, Damaso Aparicio.

However now we see the council once again changing

the goalposts in that Snr Aparicio is reported to have told members of the Spanish press that the equipment, despite it being won by Orihuela Costa residents in the 2018 Participatory Budgets, would also be used, if necessary, in other parts of the municipality.

The FAOC-Federación de Asociaciones de Orihuela Costa-Alicante, was quick to

point this out to the councillor in a letter that they sent on Wednesday to the Department of Citizen Participation with a copy to the Road Cleaning and RSU, requesting clarification about his comment during the presentation of the new vehicles and cleaning equipment, including the pressure washer for Orihuela Costa.

Our message to Mr. Councillor is clear: this pressure washer belongs to Orihuela Costa and, both this association and the neighbourhood, demand that the agreement be respected.

Unfortunately, however, the Department is unlikely to make any response without first clearing it with the councillor concerned and as he departed on a Mediterranean cruise immediately after the Plenary vote confirming council salaries that might not be for some time!

ARNEVA WITHOUT PHONES BECAUSE OF STOLEN CABLES.

Banks have been forced to close because they can’t manage daily operations in the office The Orihuela hamlet of Arneva have been without telephones and internet since last Sunday and with no indication of when the village is likely to be reconnected.

With a population of almost 1000 people, a majority of them pensioners, the problem has been caused by the theft of an 800 metre length of cable.

Residents say that they have made many complaints to the telephone company, which has been unable to give them any indication of when they are likely to be reconnected. They say that they have to order the cable in and it’s not always easy to find in such quantity.

Speaking to the Leader Tomas Alvaro said that he finds the answer absolutely incredible “as it is such a large international company".

He says that the townsfolk also feel as though they have been abandoned by the City Council which has taken no steps whatsoever to try to pressurise the telephone company into effecting the repair.

The problem is also causing financial difficulty to many Arneva businesses who are not able to work, to order stock or to service their clients Many of the pensioners say that they need a fixed telephone service to communicate with their family members; also with organizations

that are dedicated to providing the telecare service (the red button) such as the one offered by the Red Cross, which is activated by a connection established through the landline and that is currently unable to carry out this important function.

Mari Carmen Rueda, who has moved from Orihuela to Arneva to be with her 85-year-old mother, says the situation is distressing. "We were alarmed when we found that the telephone did not give a signal and we are very concerned that we have been like this for more than a week, because here seventy percent of the inhabitants are elderly, and without landlines they are out of touch, because few of them know how to use mobile phones."

Similar situations have occurred previously in other Oriolan districts during the last two years, in Hurchillo and Torremendo, which had a devastating impact on business.

And branches have been forced to close to the public because they can’t manage the daily operations carried out in the office, a state of blockade that is forcing clients and other users to move to neighbouring towns to carry out their financial operations. Another major casualty is the pharmacy, which is not being able to work the electronic prescription service and can only dispense over-thecounter products.

The administration of the lottery, hairdressers and even bars are having to reassess their pace of work, since "even the slot machines don’t work," said one client. And the worst thing for these residents is that they still do not have an estimated repair from the telephone company, being very likely that it will not be fixed until much later in the month.

Torrevieja security boosted by “antiterrorist” planters

Illegal sales cost Province 47 million

Illegal street sales, with the mantero’s (looky looky men) as the most widespread, vastly increase during the summer months, creating untold problems in the province, especially in the Orihuela Costa , and Torrevieja, in which towns the local police have only recently increased their surveillance following a campaign spearheaded by The Leader Newspaper and the long standing complaints of small businesses and hoteliers about the sale of counterfeit products in the areas most frequented by visitors and tourists.

In Alicante, their activity on beaches and promenades is considerably increased although police pressure often moves the manteros around.

They can now also be seen moving northwards along the coast to other areas frequented by tourists such as Calp, El Campello and Santa Pola.

Although the police conflict with the manteros does reach the heights of that seen during the summer of 2012, when there were clashes between vendors and police in Alicante and Torrevieja, and where there were dozens of injured policemen and a near diplomatic crisis with Senegal, which sent its foreign minister to Alicante, it is still a problem that remains, and one that is said to causes annual losses of 47 million euros to local commerce.

In Barcelona, ??Mallorca, Madrid and Castellón the manteros can be seen regularly protesting in the streets where the police often conduct raids with goods regularly confiscated and fines to the buyers of up to 500 euros.

On the Alicante coastline, police action is now beginning to bear fruit, with both the Civil Guard at the borders, and the massive seizures of stock by the National Police, seemingly slowing the operation down. In recent weeks a number of trucks have been stopped on their way to make deliveries of illegal goods in areas such as the Marina Alta, Benidorm and Alicante, where the Community now ranks as the third in seizures after Madrid and Barcelona.

In the province, the National Police has carried out 14 operations for crimes against industrial and intellectual property so far this year, with 74 arrests and the seizure of over 250,000 illegal items, the cost of which on the open market would be in the region of 6 million euros.

In 2018 there were 18 operations with 92 detainees and the seizure of 80,000 items, valued at two million euros but this year, to July, that number has been multiplied by three.

A Provincial Police source said that “we are now targeting major distributors of these illegal items, and there are traders who have had as many as 10,000 items removed from their stalls, vans, warehouses and trucks."

In Orihuela Costa, where there were major complaints of manteros from merchants bar and restaurant owners and hoteliers, the Local Police have redoubled their operation in the Cabo Roig and Aguamarina area, where the 50,000 permanent residents increases to 250,000 in the summer.

“Up to 100 people were found carrying out this illegal activity but today it has been eradicated. The operation will remain in place throughout the summer and we are now looking to maintain it all year round,” says the Councillor for Security, Ramón López.

According to the latest report from the European Office on Intellectual Property (EUIPO), in June 2019, the sale of counterfeit items in Spain causes losses close to 7,000 million euros a year.

Translating to a loss of 53,500 jobs.

"In clothing and footwear alone, to mention just one example of a sector directly affected by Illegal Street sales, companies lose 3,800 million euros every year due to counterfeiting," says EUIPO spokesman Luis Berenguer.

“There is a need for greater awareness in the municipalities and in their persecution by the police, for the damage to the brands and because it undermines industrial property, ”says Francisco Rovira, general secretary of the Alicante Federation of Small and Medium Commerce, which includes 44 associations in the province already 10,000 businesses.

Following the jihadist attack in Barcelona two years ago Torrevieja seafront security was enhance with the provision of a number of concrete bollards placed in the town centre and along the seafront.

The city council at the time was quick to realise the necessity of protecting it’s residents and it’s public spaces against the very real danger of terrorist attacks, especially in vulnerable and high profile crowded locations. The decision was taken to install 42 concrete bollards in the town centre and along the seafront to avoid attacks such as those seen in Barcelona or Nice.

It was announced as something of a temporary move until such time as the council could purchase items that were more in line with the aesthetics of a tourist city.

The bollards most certainly served their purpose, that of blocking the passage of vehicles, but for the last two years they have also served as rubbish bins to passers-by, at an annual rental cost of 12,000 euros.

Last week, however, the council began to replace the unsightly concrete blocks with planters that are far more aesthetically pleasing and far more in line with the aesthetics of a city that attracts many thousands of tourists every year.

The 42 concrete barriers are now being replaced by 22 large planters in which palm trees and flowers have been planted and that serve exactly the same purpose, blocking the passage of vehicles, but, most importantly, they significantly change the aesthetics of the area in the City now governed by the PP .

The contract for the 22 planters was awarded at a cost of 17,707 euros, 14,634 without VAT. They are being placed in Vista Alegre, Juan Aparicio and La Libertad, along the new floral urban furniture.

The levels of threat to the urban environment, and to the visitors and tourists that frequent these outside spaces, has certainly evolved over time, and will no doubt continue to do so.

Therefore, it is absolutely vital that the people responsible for shaping our public realm recognise that there is often no ‘one size fits all’ answer to security, and consequently a multi-layered approach to perimeter protection must be considered, to meet both our present and our future security needs.

In providing the ‘new look’ and enhancing our security, the city council feels that it has now improved the function, character, and quality to these public spaces as well as bringing a cosmopolitan look and feel to the city centre.

Lo Monte campsite wins European Prize

Music on the coast 2019 Mariola Rocamora announced details of three free concerts to be held on the Orihuela Costa at council expense. By Andrew Atkinson Joe Longthorne's funeral service took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Blackpool on August 13, with a full Roman Catholic Requiem Mass held.

Almost 1,000 people attended the service, with hundreds standing outside, bidding their final farewell.

Prayers were said for singer-entertainer Joe, who passed away of cancer, aged 64, and for his husband Jamie and the family.

This year, 7,220 traps have been distributed for a total area of 301.53 hectares, and will be distributed at a rate of approximately 25 traps per hectare, depending on stocks.

The council states that farmers should bear in mind that the traps placed must be registered in the MAPAMA Register of Phytosanitary Products.

The money was raised from the hilarious Benidorm! musical comedy, our very own interpretation of the popular Benidorm television series that was recently staged at the Olympia, Mil Palmeras. Help is a local charity that provides help, advice, support and of course equipment to people living all over the Vega Baja region. The donated money was to go towards the purchase of two new wheelchairs.

READ THIS … THEN WALK AWAY. More than twenty years ago, Pamela and I went on a holiday to Tunisia. Whilst there, we made friends with another couple – as one does (or should that read ‘as two do?’) Anyway, Brian and Nina Kearney remain our friends to this day. Brian exercised (!) a lifechanging effect on me.

Brian was an enthusiastic walker, and being a typical Cork man, he didn’t offer advice in any half-hearted delivery. ‘’Listen, Boy, you and me … we are going to meet here at ten o’clock in the morning and we’re heading out for a four mile walk!” What could I say…?

I didn’t really enjoy those first few walks; but by the end of the second week I was hooked – and like Forrest Gump, I have been unable to stop since then.

As well as my daily walk and pleasure strolls, I have partaken of a few sponsored walks and raised a bit of money for good causes. On 15th September I head off to Romania for a sponsored walk in aid of ‘Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust’. I am paying my own way, so that all monies donated will go to the cause. I have two good friends who are alive today because of a transplant, so this fund-raiser is close to me heart. All donations gratefully received! (End of commercial!)

We shall touch on the advantages of walking in a moment; but unless one enjoys involvement in any sort of activity, you will not stay at it. I just love walking. Some of my best ideas have come to me on the road. When you switch off the brain, the subconscious kicks in and very often it is in the subconscious that the answer lies.

The best newspaper articles have come to me while I am striding out there – or as Blackadder would put it, ‘venturing forth!’

Now don’t tell me you are too busy or don’t have the time to go for a daily walk? (Actually you don’t have to go every day) You can make the time, and for doing it, you will perform better and finish up with more time to do other things.

So you are busy, stressed and a little overweight? If there was a pill to cure this, you would take it? You wonder if you could slow down

the aging process even a little? If there was another pill to give you this, you would take it as well? I know … I know; you have to spend long periods peering at screens and find yourself becoming a little irritable.

Maybe you don’t believe there is any cure for this? A problem keeps going around in your head and you cannot seem to focus or ‘nail’ it? There is nothing in a bottle that will fix all of above, but this column is giving you a tip that will sort you out. Simply take up walking and give it a fair chance.

The Valencia Government is placing a tiger mosquito alert - in the wake of increasing problems despite actions taken in recent years.

Valencia Council Health Ordinance are taking steps to inform owners, where water is in situ, to help eliminate the spread of the tiger mosquito.

And, in a bid to get the message across, fines of up to 3,000 euros are being drafted.

Owners of across the board properties, business and private residential property owners, including houses here on the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida areas, will be hit with fines, ranging between 25euros to 3,000 euros.

The imposing of the 3,000 euros fine will be targeted at premise owners - who fail to adhere to strict requirements of the Valencia government.

Like me, you won’t enjoy your walking at first, but persevere for a few weeks and like Forrest Gump and myself, you won’t ever want to stop.

Practice using your arms and stride-walking.

Your rhythm and momentum will propel you forward. Don’t ‘dawdle’ – I find that harder on the body than fast walking. It is possible to ‘over-stride’ – but I don’t think you will.

Just walk at the pace that has you slightly out of breath.

And there’s more! Walking is also good for your ‘gut-health.’ Your digestive system will improve as the passage of food is helped through the intestines. Research shows that walking increases the strength of the signals from the brain to do with sight and touch. It helps you to think and discover things more quickly. I suppose this goes back to the jungle and when we got up off all fours.

Yes, walking is good for body, brain and soul. If you haven’t tried it, do so now: You will never regret the effort.

The bottom line in any sales pitch is always the price: Waking costs nothing!!

3,000 euro fine as alarm rings on tiger mosquitoes' Dengue, Chikungunya and Yellow Fever diseases

With the summer in full swing many residents and holidaymakers have been targeted by the blood thirsty mosquito, including your reporter.

The tiger mosquito bite is more severe, than the traditional mosquito. So much so it can penetrate through clothes.

More alarmingly tiger mosquitoes can transmit dangerous Dengue, Chikungunya and Yellow Fever diseases.

The Valencian government has acted annually, spraying high risk water based areas, including the Torrevieja Salinas.

Following the arrival of the tiger mosquitoes during the last few years spraying has been intense.

However tiger mosquitoes have adapted to the Vega Baja environment - along with throughout the Valencian Community - and the battle is being lost.

The Municipal pest control department at Valencia City Council pinpoint to all, that the tiger mosquito needs little water to reproduce.

With paddling pools currently rife in the holiday season, the water in situ, is a magnet to attract mosquitoes.

Despite the Valencia Municipal technicians spraying, in a bid to decrease in the tiger mosquito population in the regions public areas, they have no control in spraying private areas, both businesses and private residential areas.

Even water in a plant pot can attract the tiger mosquito to mass re-produce.

"We need to make everyone aware of the situation of the tiger mosquitoes and hopefully our message will see them take measures," said Councillor for Health Valencia, Emiliano García.

The Valencian government message is 'Warn and Inform'.

The authorities are hoping Community owners will be vigilant, in a bid to control the tiger mosquitoes.

Many empty properties have water filled swimming pools, attracting the tiger mosquitoes, thus enabling to transmit serious diseases.

Colin Whiteside, 52, from Preston, Lancashire, was hospitalised in the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo in July, after being diagnosed with Dengue fever.

Doctors told his family that he had most likely contracted the

tropical disease as a result of a mosquito bite.

While in hospital he contracted pneumonia and sepsis. In July he was placed on life support, after suffering a catastrophic stroke.

Medics had to perform an emergency tracheotomy and Colin was left with locked-in syndrome, unable to move or communicate.

In July, Colin's family launched a fundraising campaign to raise more than £35,000 to fly him home to the UK, after his insurance company refused to cover costs.

After arriving in back in Britain on August 6, Colin was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital, where his condition failed to improve.

ALARM - Seven sharks cause bathers to scramble to shore

By Andrew Atkinson A public address announcement to leave the sea - following shark sightings in Spain - caused alarm as bathers and surfers headed to the shore.

The incident occurred on the beach of A Frouxeira, in the municipality of Valdoviño, in the province of A Coruna, Galicia, north west Spain.

Lifeguards had initially placed the Yellow flag, allowing people to enter the sea - with caution.

Bathers and surfers - including students of the Surf Schools - were in

Once the public adddess announcement was made by the Lifeguard service everyone scrambled to exit the sea - as up to SEVEN sharks had been seen.

Bathing was prohibited along the stretch of beach at A Frouxeira, with Lifeguards blowing their whistles along three kilometers, up to Outeiro.

The ban was later lifted - with Lifeguard instructions to enter the water with caution - keeping distance from the sharks. Valdoviño beach coordinator, Daniel Arcas said evicting people from the sea in the three kilometers of beach was as a precaution.

Sharks' sightings in PRESS the bathing areas are uncommon.

FOLLOWING THEFT

After informing the Turkish authorities that the stolen vessel could be found in its jurisdictional waters, the boat was seized and four people, who were all on board at the time, were arrested, three of Turkish origin and another of Russian nationality.

The detainees carried falsified documentation and had already changed the name, registration and flag of the boat.

Eight people have been arrested by the Guardia Civil following the recovery of a 3.5 million euro luxury yacht in Turkey. The vessel was stolen from the Port of Palma de Mallorca. One of the arrests took place in Torrevieja.

The yacht was stolen at the beginning of April with tracking

Three further people were then arrested in Mallorca of Spanish, German and Portuguese nationalities, as well as the eighth in Torrevieja, who is understood to be Hungarian.

Investigators say that there is extensive damage to the interior of the boat, since part of the electrical and location systems had been ripped out valued at more than 20,000 euros.

My world fell apart when Rodeo Jack died Emma J Tytherleigh, world famous trick-rider, talks to Andrew Atkinson in Part 2 of an exclusive interview.

"RODEO Jack, my beloved horse riding Jack Russell, sadly lost his battle to Leishmania. To say my world fell apart is an understatement," said Emma, speaking from Munich, Germany.

Rodeo Jack will be remembered by thousands of people who attended Emma's Spectacular Flamenco shows, including in Torremendo, at

"I now have a Jack Russell X, called Cowboy - of course - 15 months' old and full of energy," said Emma.

"We are learning K9 Freestyle and agility. And, with any luck and dedication, I have some ideas for him with the horses too, in the future," said Emma.

"Romero, the horse I owe so much to, now in his twenties, is fully retired and living with Elizabeth Humble a former student of mine.

"He has a lovely quiet family life out in a paddock - full of chickens, pigs, goats, cats and any other small farm animal they could find or rescue - in Crevillente," said Emma.

"I was very fortunate to find him such a wonderful place to grow old. I visit every time I am home in Spain," said Emma.

The latest in a long line of high profile celebrities who have been accused of sexual harassment is the World Famous Spanish Opera star Placido Domingo.

In a report published by the Associated Press (AP) the tenor has been accused of sexual harassment by nine women, Several of them, eight singers and a dancer, accuse Domingo of trying to use his position as one of opera’s most famous names to force them into sexual relationships.

New Carpet for Vistabella Bowls Club As you read this short missive Vistabella Bowls Club should be open again for business with members enjoying the experience of playing on a brand new carpet.

After almost ten successful years, in which the club has grown to be one of the most successful on the Costa, the owners decided to replace the carpet so that it was down and settled in time for their hosting of the Valencian Community championship in mid-September.

The carpet was laid by Stephen and Adam of Dales Sport Services from Boston in Lincolnshire, represented here in Spain by former National Team Manager Jackie Breslin, and with players lining up to play, it was was completed on Saturday morning.

Lexi Thompson, Nelly Korda, Danielle Kang, Lisette Salas and Jessica Korda are all safely qualified while past US Solheim Cup team standouts Cristie Kerr and Stacy Lewis, would need to win the CP Women’s Open to claim their place without needing a Captain’s pick from Juli Inkster.

Battaash, Ten Sovereigns and Mabs Cross set for York clash Battaash, Ten Sovereigns and Mabs Cross are amongst the runners going to post in the 5f Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York on August 23.

King George Qatar Stakes Glorious Goodwood winner Battash heads the relishing line-up as 5-2 favourite.

July Cup winner, Aidan O'Brien trained Ten Sovereigns, is priced at 3-1.

Group 1 winner Mabs Cross, trained by Michael Dods, who went down in a photo-finish in the 2018 race, behind Alpha Delphini, is priced at 5-1.

"Mabs Cross is looking great heading to York," said Dods, whose charge finished fourth, behind Blue Point and Battaash at Royal Ascot in June.

El Paraiso Fishing Competition Saturday 10th August

August pairs winners Alan and Richard You can understand why some anglers take July and August off from fishing as once again this months competition was fished in the high 30's, the heat does not normally bother me but with no wind even I found it unbearable.

The fish must have decided it was too hot to feed as the weights were quite a bit down from previous months, in fact 5 anglers blanked.....me included.

The results for August was as follows: Alan Priest...... peg 10 ...15.86 kgs, Danny......peg11. ..10.58 kgs, .Russell...peg.8...9.76 kgs, Keith......peg14 .....7.48 kgs.

This was a good performance by Alan under difficult circumstance and along with Richard Wood they won our pairs competeition, with Danny and Terry a close second with only 0.70 kgs between them.

The September competition will be on Saturday 14th, drawing for pegs will be 9.00 fishing 10.00 to1.00 half hour for lunch then fishing 1.30 till 4.30. these times are for the rest of the year.

Mike Probert Talks Golf (In assn with Costa Blanca Green Fee Services) AROUND AND ABOUT THE COURSES UPDATE Alicante We reported a few weeks ago that Alicante now had the same owners as El Plantio.

The first change that they have introduced is that the Alicante course will be closed for two weeks from 19/08/19 BUT El Plantio which was planned to be closed will now remain open at that time.

La Marquesa As previously reported La Marquesa are totally re-structuring their golf course including the addition of new greens and there has been obvious disruption to golf over the summer and they have now issued prices for September 2019 which reflect that some work is yet to be finished and there will still be one provisional green in play.

New Sierra Golf I have been informed that the owners of New Sierra golf have plans in place to build the final nine holes and the process once started will take approx. 2 years.

Mosa Trajectum When opened originally this was probably the most difficult courses in the region but it has now been closed for a number of years BUT work is currently underway to construct and open 9 holes to start with.

Campoamor Work has now started to lift all 18 greens following years of repeated problems and the course won’t fully re-open until 15/10/19.

Vistabella They celebrate their 10th anniversary with a competition on 28th September 2019 but there will be a whole day of activities with music, dinner and fireworks and you can contact the course for more information.

SMGS at Roda Golf 14 August 2019 After our humid exertions around Las Ramblas last time out, this week’s medal competition at Roda was “just a walk in the park, Kazansky”. A flat track and a cooling coastal breeze reduced the thermal stress factor even if the deep first cut of rough called for some strenuous digging to extract balls nestled down in the depths. Overall, the course was in excellent condition and reflected the big financial investment we understand has gone into it recently. The bunkers especially were a proper sandy contrast to the shallow-filled, builder’s yard sweepings found in some of the local courses we’ve encountered this summer. Just saying.

The field of 28 members and 5 guests were completing the final round of this season’s Bogeys competition, a format which still seems to frighten off a few of the regulars. With the par +5 maximum per hole scoring format applying, it really isn’t that much different to a Stableford round.

Again, just saying.

John Urquhart was the runner-up guest with Connor Lambert taking best guest honours with a superb net 67.

In Bronze, Mike Kaylor finished third on countback (85), new member Steve Sutherland came second (81) and the winner was everyone’s favourite barranca diver, Alan Macdonald, with a very tidy net par round of 72.

El Plantio Medalford

August is traditionally a slow period in the golfing calendar, with the high temperatures deterring all but the most committed players and holidays luring residents and part time members alike. El Plantio 2 Golf Society was no exception with only four players contesting a Medalford. Ray Housley was the big winner of this competition as probably the only reason he did not complete a clean sweep was because he could not come first and second in the same event.

NEWLY promoted Valenicia regional Preferente club CD Murada signings ahead of the 2019-20 campaign includes Gustavo Giordani who believes they will open a few eyes during the new campaign.

"I came to CD Murada with really high hopes, and I think lots of people will be in for a surprise this season, for sure," Gustavo, 25, told me.

"I have dedicated myself in the off-season, to the cause of which the project that CD Murada have. It is really exciting," said midfielder Gustavo.

Gustavo has a wealth of experience in his CV, in a career that includes Guarany de Garibaldi, during 2000-2012.

"The current Brazil national squad coach Tite started coaching along with Luiz Felipe Scolari, World Cup Winner in 2002, and the ex-Chelsea manager," said Gustavo.

"I also played at Mid-Isle Mariners (Canada) during 2013 and 2019 and Parkland College (EUA) Champaign, Illinois, during 20152016," said Gustavo.

"My biggest disappointment is the trust - trusting in people that I should have not - the likes of football agents and a few coaches as well," said Gustavo.

Gustavo, who deems former England and Liverpool star, Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard, as one player who has been a role model, and supports La Liga team, Eibar, said: "My family lives in Brazil.

"I have been pursuing my dream around the world. Canada, EUA, and Italy - to get my dual citizenship - and Spain."

Gustavo points to his father, as being the biggest influence in his career: "It has to be my dad, who has been there for me - since the beggining.

"If there is someone that gets me going, it is my dad, for sure," said Gustavo.

"I am very proud to receive the award," Spain international Marta, who played in the 2015 World Cup, told me.

Marta scored 27 goals during the 2018-19 season at Florentina.

Debora Vanin was top goalscorer with 49 goals, Sofia Vieira in second with 48 goals, and Liana Miroshnichenko (RCOR-BGU) third.

Marta Penalver (Florentia) finished 15th.

The placings, from various Championship games last season, taking into account the standard of the Championship, the number of games played, and the average goals in the league, obtained by dividing the total number of goals scored for the games played.
