EL RANCHO BOWLS CLUB

With the winter league season having drawn to a close, though not a great season for results, we did however have a great season of bowls enjoyment and a sufficiency of good humour and friendship with both El Rancho and opposition bowlers.

We have now concluded our club championship and our club champions are Singles: Bob Taylor and Sheila Cox.

Pairs: Ann Taylor and Sheila Cox, Brian Harris and Keith Longshaw, Debbie Ham and Adrian Ham. Trips: Dave Baker, Pam Harris and Brian Harris. Rinks: Sheila Cox, Pam Harris, Brian Harris and Mike Cox.

The Golds travelled to Quesada and played the Swifts, hoping to accumulate enough points to stay in this division. We managed wins on two rinks by; Ken Stringfellow, Pat Moore & Ros Stockell (17-14). Anthony Pridmore, Derek Barker & John Skipper (16-13). Acouple of other rinks came close without winning and the game ended 4-8 (Shots 76-86). The club championship finals were held this week and the winners of the following disciplines were; Mixed Rinks ñ Jan Pocock, Judy Carroll, Martin Harley & David Blackie. Mixed Trips ñ Anthony Pridmore, Judy Carroll & Martin Harley. Ladies Pairs ñ Kathleen Morrisroe & Ann Taylor. Menís Pairs - Alan Mawer & Noel Morrisroe. Mixed PairsMartin Harley & Karen Kirk.
