FRIEND’S BETRAYAL RESULTS IN HOMICIDE A 33-YEAR-OLD-MAN was killed after confronting a male friend whom he discovered in a compromising position with his girlfriend. Police confirmed that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Shon Browne aka ‘Sean Paul’, a 33 year old labourer/auto mechanic of Stubbs. Browne is said to have died on Sunday 22nd August, sometime around 5pm, in Diamond. According to a press release from the Royal SVG Police Force, preliminary investigations revealed that on the Sunday in question, the deceased and the accused male allegedly got into altercation which resulted in the accused receiving a chop wound to his left hand. During the tussle, the accused is said to have stabbed Browne multiple times in his chests with a knife. Browne was pronounced dead at the scene of the altercation by the District Medical Officer (DMO). Browne was described as easy going and willing. Linley Butler, a friend of the deceased, said that he was the person who had given Browne the place to stay in Diamond. The property was registered in Linley aunt’s name. He described Browne as “easy going and willing,” adding that he and Browne would undertake “mechanic jobs” as a team.
