Get ready Lane Cove - a trio of exciting new food venues are about to burst onto the scene along Birdwood Lane at The Canopy. Here’s a taste of what’s to come when doors open this month...

Sugarlane

Missing the flavours of your favourite Southeast Asia destinations? It’s time to give your tastebuds a holiday and experience Southeast Asia like never before as Milan Strbac, Executive Chef of Coogee’s Sugarcane, brings his signature flavours over the bridge.

With a refined beach hut feel, Sugarlane’s impressive menu reads like a who’s who of sure-fire favourites. A taste of the ceviche and you’ll be transported to sandy shores without a care in the world. If you’re looking for a stand-out from the crowd dish then you can’t go past the sensational wagyu beef rendang curry.

Lane Cove is in good hands with Milan Strbac at the helm after he spent five years working at Sydney favourite Longrain before his successful venture in the Eastern Suburbs. Grab the family, get in touch with your friends, Sugarlane is Lane Cove’s ultimate food destination.

Peanut Butter Jelly

Peanut Butter Jelly

It’s time to mix things up, Lane Cove. Feel like washing down your new favourite curry arancini balls with a peanut butter whiskey sour or tucking into the pork belly bao while sipping a salty rim honey and ginger margarita? Sounds interesting? Then you’ll be right at home at Peanut Butter Jelly! Infusing street food with street art, the team at PBJ know how to create a world of cuisine and drinks worth celebrating. After years of experience at their sister venue in Manly, they know how to set the mood for any occasion, right down to the s’mores brownie bomb and peanut butter infused alcohol which will leave a lasting impression of the eclectic mix that makes them a restaurant to remember.

Garcon

“Garcon!” calls the patron to the waiter who arrives swiftly with a confident smile. Bringing a dash of theatre to Eat Street is French-inspired venue Garcon. Whether it’s the mesmerising steam that rises as the crepe batter hits the pan or the sound of the ice cubes rocking back and forth as your cocktail is being prepared - you’ll be able to feel a certain je ne sais quoi to the way things are done at Garcon.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a time of the day not to drop by, especially with the new selection of Whitley Neil Gins adding an extra level of distinguished taste to the shelves before the doors open later this month.
