Mortgage Choices

Are all lenders the same?

“Absolutely not,” says Stephanie Cook of Mortgage Choice Lane Cove. “When it comes to selecting the best mortgage, it is almost impossible for a potential borrower to know the current lending policies for each of the lenders, let alone the policies of their valuers and mortgage insurers. With so much competition and confusion in the home loan market, borrowers often focus only on the rates and marketing features of the various home loans and may be unaware that, for some reason, they are ineligible for that particular loan. That’s where Mortgage Choice Lane Cove can assist. With 20 years’ local mortgage industry experience, we spend considerable time going through what each borrower wants their home loan to do for them. We then match their needs to those of our lenders and can compare the various interest rates, fees and charges, and flexibility of the different loans on offer. Importantly, we can also determine the eligibility of the borrower for their preferred loan and lender." There are certainly some eye-catching mortgage rates in the market that are worth considering. More importantly, borrowers need to be aware that, in many cases, these loan products are for very specific purposes or may have particular lending criteria or hurdles that are not realistic for the majority of borrowers. Stephanie says that “now more than ever, an experienced mortgage broker can help borrowers through the mortgage maze to find the right loan to suit their individual needs.”
