Scott Sloan, from Sloans of Lane Cove, has been named the NSW/ACT Hairdresser of the Year at the Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo Awards Gala in Sydney.

This award is made to the hairdresser who demonstrates that they are at the forefront of the hairdressing industry in their state. They need to be a dynamic and prominent personality, a high achiever, and demonstrate a far-reaching creative vision and commercial success.

“I’m the eternal bridesmaid, I’ve been a finalist so many times!” Scott said at the gala. “But this award is really great because my team and I shot the collection together. The girls in the salon did all the hard work. It’s a really nice recognition for them and for me.”

The annual Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo Awards are the longest running and most respected awards in the hairdressing industry. More than 1000 hair professionals gathered to hear 20 winners announced at the lavish awards gala.

A judging panel of 12 international and 12 local judges, consisting of prominent hair and fashion icons from across the industry, anonymously assessed the photographic collection entries across 14 creative categories.
