Employee Golf & Facility Use FAQ

A quick guide to your golf, fitness, and facility benefits

We're glad to share the benefits available to you as a Valley Club employee, along with answers to the questions that come up most often. Employee golf remains an important benefit. The updated policy simply adds structure around when staff may play and how guests are approved, so that staff access and member experience both work well. If you have a question that isn't covered here, your department head or the General Manager is always happy to help.

Playing Golf

Does The Valley Club support employee golf?

Yes. Employee golf is an important benefit. The updated policy preserves your access to the course while adding clarity around timing and guests.

When may I play golf?

All employees may play on Mondays after 3:30 PM. Golf Operations and Outside Golf staff may have additional opportunities during the week when approved and when the tee sheet allows.

Are there times when I may not play?

Yes. Staff play is not permitted:

• Before 12:00 PM

• On holidays

• During tournaments, leagues, and Club events

• Any time the Golf Shop determines member demand is high

What if I work every Monday and can't use the employee play time?

Please speak with the General Manager and we'll arrange an alternative play date for you.

How do I reserve a round?

All staff rounds are booked through the Golf Shop. Reservations may be made within 24 hours of a tee time.

May I use the practice facilities?

Practice facilities are available for warming up prior to your scheduled round.

Guests

May I bring a guest?

Guest requests may be approved by the General Manager. Decisions are based on the nature of the request. The goal is not to eliminate guest opportunities, but to ensure guest play aligns with the Club's standards and member expectations.

Who may I bring as a guest?

Family members, industry professionals, and special guests are the types of requests generally considered. Each request is evaluated case by case. Routine guest play involving local peer groups is limited; for special circumstances, please speak with the General Manager.

How do I request guest approval?

Contact the General Manager, as far in advance as possible.

If a member asks me to play with them, may I?

Yes. Employees may play as the guest of a member in accordance with Club guest policies — currently up to nine times per calendar year. A guest fee applies when you play as a member's guest. Play that is required as part of certain job positions does not count as a guest round.

On the Course

What's expected of me when I play?

As a Valley Club employee on the course, please:

• Check in with the Golf Shop

• Maintain proper pace of play

• Yield to members at all times

• Follow dress code requirements

• Demonstrate proper golf etiquette

• Represent The Valley Club professionally

• Follow all safety requirements

What happens if the policy isn't followed?

Golf privileges may be suspended or revoked if policy guidelines are not followed.

Fitness, Pool & Racquet Facilities

May I use the Club's fitness center, pools, or racquet facilities?

Club fitness, pool, and racquet facilities are reserved for member use and are generally not available for employee personal use. Limited exceptions apply where access is required for your job — for example, personal trainers using the fitness center and lap pool, or racquets professionals — in connection with their employment responsibilities.

Your Benefits Around the Valley

What golf opportunities do I have in the Valley?

Take advantage of The Valley Club's new corporate agreement with Big Wood Golf Course. Just call Big Wood and mention you're a Valley Club employee to receive the complimentary benefit.

What fitness opportunities do I have?

You have two great options through the Club:

• BCRD — a complimentary gym membership for all employees. Walk in, give your name, and they'll verify you against our employee list.

• Gravity Fitness & Tennis — a discount on gym and tennis memberships. Call or meet on site with one of their membership reps. Beyond these, the Valley offers plenty more — public gyms, boutique fitness studios, and outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, running, skiing, and community recreation programs.

Questions?

Please direct any questions to your department head, who can elevate them to the General Manager when needed. We're always glad to talk things through.

Employee golf is an important benefit at The Valley Club. The intent of this policy is to preserve opportunities for staff to enjoy the game while keeping the member experience our highest priority.
