Kid Cudi is a rapper from Cleveland, in 2009 he released his debut album ‘Man on the moon’(the first of three Man on the Moon Albums). Kid Cudi influenced many artists that we listen too, today such as Travis Scott, in an interview Scott says ‘Cudi was the main man I listened to.. he saved my life’ , thank goodness he saved Travis Scott's life, we would be very sad if ‘Astroworld’ did not exist!

‘Man on the moon’ focuses a lot on mental health, and battles issues relevant today, and most likely relevant forever such as loneliness, depression, anxiety and much more. One of the reasons Cudi's album related with people so much was that he was writing about things he was going through, and it seemed raw. Although the music battles so many dark issues, I think makes it all the more beautiful and impressive as it shows people they aren't alone, there are others out there going through the same things, and the publicity for these issues makes people feel less alone.

Kid Cudi certainly has his own musical identity, which you can feel in every song, the lyrics engulf you, in a way each time you listen to his music you are reborn, you feel comforted and less isolated, which is particularly good during this time. Personally, I prefer ‘Man on the moon II’ as I love ‘Mr Rager’ but ‘Cudi Zone’, ‘Solo Dolo’, and ‘Day ‘N’ Nite’ from ‘Man on the moon’ are really great so it is hard to choose.

Luckily for Kid Cudi listeners a new Man on the moon came out in 2020, be sure to give it a listen! Some celebrities who love Kid Cudi's music are Timothee Chalamet, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Zayn Malik, Lil Yachty, Pharrell Williams and Takashi Murakami. I recommend listening to Kid Cudi because as much as the music tells a story, it is also really good!
