The Buzz About Millennium's Rooftop

Earth Day, held every April 22nd since 1970, is widely recognized as the largest secular observance in the world, marked by more than a billion people every year as a day of action to shape human behavior and create global, national, and local policy changes.

The Millennium at National Landing took the 2023 EarthDay.org Biodiversity Campaign challenge. They've been partnering with Alveole, an urban-beekeeping company, to reintroduce pollinators, a critical but increasingly missing part of the urban greenspace, into cities across the country.

Hoping to also counter the recent Colony Collapse Disorder phenomenon, Alveole explains that these docile, non-territorial honey bees make great use of an otherwise unused patch of rooftop, with residents able to purchase products featuring their hive's honey!
