The Tweed REGIONAL OVERVIEW

The Tweed, ideally located in Northern NSW and only a short 10-minute drive south of the Gold Coast International airport, is the perfect choice for your next business event.

The Tweed Valley is a vast natural amphitheatre, which is recognised, along with the Daintree and Kakadu, as being one of the three most bio-diverse regions in Australia.

From large-scale conference centres to beachside resorts to luxe boutique hotels, the Tweed has an array of options to suit your conference needs.

The Tweed Coast offers long stretches of pristine white sand beaches, crowned by magnificent headlands and popular surf and reef breaks.

The region enjoys humid summers and mild winters with average temperatures of 19.8ยบC. The climate in the Tweed is warm and temperate.

1 With beautiful beaches and headlands, start your team’s day the right way with fresh air by enjoying a relaxing walk to watch our spectacular sunrise or find your zen with an early morning yoga session.

2 Cudgen Creek is a water lover’s playground perfect for spotting marine life, paddling through the mangroves or kayaking along its tranquil waters allowing your team to connect like never before.

4 The team’s Wollumbin Mt Warning experience won’t be complete until you’ve found a vantage point to enjoy the setting sun whilst sipping on locally sourced rum or gin cocktail. Cruising down the Tweed River whilst sampling delicious seafood and taking in the view from this vantage point is also exceptional.

3 Our valley is simply stunning! Take the team to Wollumbin National Park and hike the short winding Lyrebird track under towering palms listening out for calls of the lyrebirds and whipbirds. Enjoy a picnic beside Breakfast Creek and be surrounded by World Heritage-listed rainforest and worldclass beauty!

Tweed Coast

THE TWEED COAST COVERS DURANBAH BEACH IN TWEED HEADS TO WYONG BEACH, POTTSVILLE. THE CROWNING HEADLANDS ARE FINGAL, CABARITA AND HASTING POINT. TWEED HEADS Tweed Heads is a vibrant seaside destination by the beautiful Tweed River estuary.

Featuring the region’s largest conference facilities located just 10 minutes from Gold Coast Airport with ample accommodation, it is the ideal location to base your conference, event or exhibition.

Fun outdoor activities including riverboat cruises, whale watching, kayaking, deepsea fishing and surfing are all right on your

doorstep. Stunning ocean beaches are great for an early morning swim, run or walk or explore the town and discover one of the many delicious places to eat.

Tweed Heads is a great base to explore the rest of the Tweed region offering bespoke and unique experiences for your delegates to get in touch with nature, soak in the health and well-being benefits or sample the abundant and delicious array of local produce.

KINGSCLIFF Kingscliff is a quintessential beachside village with art deco charm, with an independent bookstore, cinema, wine merchant and award-winning restaurants that add character to the town. An array of accommodation is on offer from beachside cabins to self-contained apartments. SALT & CASUARINA Salt Village is a resort town that is home to leading accommodation providers, restaurants, boutiques and Salt Park (host of events and markets throughout the year).

A patrolled open beach, ideal weather and resort facilities provide a perfect setting for conferences all year round. A wide variety of conference facilities, functional meeting rooms, stunning outdoor locations and unique event spaces ensures that all types of small to larger conferences are well catered for.

Further south is Casuarina; a unique mix of residential and holiday accommodation. Surf breaks, a local shopping centre, resort accommodation and eateries provide a unique experience.

CABABRITA Cabarita is the main town south of Kingscliff and is a thriving village with high street shopping, award winning accommodation and an array of local eateries.

The Cabarita headland boasts some of the best views around, with a nature walk that offers panoramic views of Kingscliff to the north and Byron Bay to the south.

Tweed Valley

THE TWEED VALLEY IS NESTLED IN THE ANCIENT GREEN CALDERA, THE LARGEST SHIELD VOLCANO IN THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE.

TWEED VALLEY The valley is set amongst world heritage rainforests with dramatic mountain ranges, rich red volcanic soil and open green spaces.

Wollumbin Mt Warning is the heart of the valley and is the first place to see the sunlight on the east coast of Australia.

MURWILLUMBAH The main town centre of the Tweed Valley is Murwillumbah, offering an abundance of historic charm.

The riverside town is a mecca for artists, foodies and farmers alike, making for an eclectic atmosphere. A plethora of boutiques and eateries occupy the towns art deco buildings, along with an iconic street art wall that adorns the Tweed River.

This bustling tourist town is home to the Tweed Regional Museum, Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre, annual arts festivals and weekly farmers markets, perfect for breakout sessions to get your team or groups creative juices flowing!

TUMBULGUM The historic town of Tumbulgum, 15 minutes south of Tweed Heads is built on the Tweed River and has over 100 years of history from local families to the sugar cane industry.
