Funeral Service

Enos “Conchman” Johnson, 76

of Winton Meadows II and formerly of Lovely Bay, Acklins will be held at Bible Truth Ministries at 10:00am Saturday, April 13th. Enos or “Conchy” as he was affectionately known, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024 at Doctor’s Hospital, Nassau Bahamas. Rev James Neilly, President of the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church will offciate his celebration of life.

Enos was predeceased by his loving wife, Olga Johnson; his parents Enos Sr and Kathleen Johnson. He is survived by his children, Monette, Clarice, Tamika, Shenique and Tanya Johnson; his brother Ronald Johnson and his sister Ivy Mills; his loving grandchildren, Ashley Sawyer, Evan and Nicholas Johnson along with a host of relatives and friends.

Mr Johnson was a proud Bahamian who loved God, his family and his country. He was a notable businessman establishing Johnson’s Takeaway in the early 1980s serving the Bahamian delicacy of “cracked conch” to the local community for over 30 years. Deeply passionate about the sport of sloop sailing, Enos dedicated over 40 years of his life to the sport as a boat owner, competitor an avid member and contributor to the Bahamas Sailing Association.

Enos was kind and gentle spirit who lived a full life with an open heart full of love for all those he encountered. We were blessed to know and love him. He will be deeply missed.
