n light of the recent surge in crime impacting the New Providence community, Bahamas Harvest Church is taking a proactive stance with the upcoming "Reclaim the Night" corporate prayer service. Scheduled for this Sunday, January 28, at the Nassau Cruise Port Amphitheatre starting at 6pm, the event seeks to address the growing concerns and answer the vital question: “What is the church doing to assist in this warfare against crime? We pray.” Led by Pastor Mario Moxey, Bahamas Harvest Church is collaborating with numerous pastors from
across the city to unite in prayer for the reclaiming of the night. This collective effort extends beyond the church walls, inviting families, schools, and the wider community to join in a powerful night of intercession. Pastor Moxey said: “As a church community, we cannot remain silent in the face of increasing crime. 'Reclaim The Night' is our collective response—a strategic, intentional and faith-filled approach to addressing the challenges we are facing and a strong way to end our 21-day Daniel Fast. Together with fellow pastors, families, and the community at large, we will fervently pray for

– Family Life leaders look forward to young members On what will be its eighth anniversary as a church, joining their ranks – the Family Life Kingdom Centre is hosting its third ordination service on Sunday, February 11. Hosted by Apostle Ryan Bethell and Prophetess Laverne Bethell, the service will take place at the church on Carmichael Road beginning at 4pm. It will also be streaming live on the Family Life Kingdom Centre’s YouTube page. “Our church is about building healthy family relationships, one family at a time; that is our core vision,” said Apostle Bethell in an interview with Tribune Religion. He said ordaining more ministers, pastors and deacons adds to the leadership of the church and assists them in building the kingdom of God. “That is why we are bringing on more deacons, ministers and pastors to help with the load. This is actually our third ordination on our eight anniversary,” said Apostle Bethell. He said the workload of their church is increasing as the number of members continues to grow, and they are delighted for several young members to be joining their ranks. “You have persons like Camron Pratt, a very young man at 24 years old who is going to be breaking records because there is no one at this young age being elevated in the church thus far. Then we have Minister Elect Tre Evans who is the director of youth. Both he and his wife, Minister Kristia, are being elevated to pastoral ministry. They are all busy young persons who are very helpful in the upbringing of the church,” he said. These individuals, he said, are being moved from just sitting in the pew during Sunday service to actively participating in church business.

In order to be considered for Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Producer of the Year, New Artist of the Year or Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, gospel artists must submit a comprehensive digital media kit portfolio. “For all Song of the Year categories, nominees are required to include an MP3 audio format and lyrics for each song submitted. The official submission link can be accessed through the Bahamas Gospel Music Awards Facebook page,” said Travis. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday,
June 9, at the Bahamas Faith Ministries (BFM). The theme for this year's awards is "We Came to Praise." Travis said he is looking forward to another exciting season for the BGMAs. When he set out the host the awards show three years ago, he admitted he was “terrified” as he did not how things would turn out. Fortunately, the event was a success and has shown considerable growth over the years. Seeing the success of the event, he said, confirmed the great need to acknowledge and commend the musical talent in the world of gospel. Travis said the event’s continuous successes confirms God’s

It was a time to express appreciation and thanks for his dedicated service over the years. Pastor Smith obeyed the call to become pastor nine years ago and has remained steadfast as a leader preaching the good news of Jesus Christ.
He believes in giving and helping those in need. To this end, he along with his executive team and congregants always lend a helping hand to those in need through their established Benevolent Fund. This fund assists students in college and university, people who have incurred medical bills and senior citizens; it also helps out when there are urgent personal needs. Pastor Smith has also helped propel the Ebenezer Learning Development
Centre forward. This centre focuses on after-school educational and development assistance for students and adults. Pastor Smith thanked everyone for their support over the years and recognised Mother Marion Clarke, wife of the late Rev Dr Irvin Clarke, Sr, who was Ebenezer’s former Pastor.
