From Kathy, your Association Manager You’re committed to bettering our community, so why not put your passion to work and run for a spot on the Association’s Board of Directors? Serving on the Board can be an enriching experience and can help you make lasting and positive changes to the community. Our Association will soon be holding elections for a Resident Board Member, a dedicated homeowner like you to help us shape and implement our governing rules, make important decisions that affect the entire community, and so much more. The first step in becoming the next Resident Board Member is to complete the Board Candidate Application, which is available online on www.Sterling-Life.com (under the Homeowner Association Info tab).
Completed digital applications and candidate statements submitted before the posted deadline will be available for Sterling on the Lake Residents to view (both in print at the Community Clubhouse and online via www. Sterling-Life.com) within 48-hours of submission. Our Homeowner Annual Meeting will be scheduled for February 2017. Every item lovingly added to an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift has the potential to impact a child throughout the world. 2016 Member Guest Tournament The 2016 Member Guest Tournament was a huge success! The Tennis Committee would like to thank each and every player, spectator and volunteer that helped make the weekend such a fun event. We again find ourselves very fortunate to have so many generous sponsors and donations to help in the success of the weekend. We would also like to thank Davis Outdoor Construction for being our Title Sponsor for this year’s tournament. Davis Outdoor Construction has donated $2500 in services (not reflected in financial report below) to Sterling on the Lake Tennis to renovate both lower court bathrooms to include tiling the floors, adding beadboard to the walls, painting, replacing the sinks and cabinets, and installing new fixtures. The bathroom renovations should be complete very soon. (Special Pops) in the amount of $483.77 as the benefitting charity for the 2016 Member Guest Tournament. Special Pops Tennis, Inc. is a tax-exempt organization that offers an adaptive tennis program specifically designed to share the lifetime sport of tennis with children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Based in the metropolitan Atlanta area, Special Pops Tennis is a registered Community Tennis Association of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and is recognized by USTA Georgia as a primary CTA in Georgia for teaching tennis and training coaches to teach tennis players with special needs. Special Pops Tennis is also an accredited agency of Special Olympics of Georgia (SOGA). Special Pops Tennis has a local training site in Hall County at Brenau University in Gainesville.
