DID You KNOW?
Monthly friendly advice for our Reunion neighbors about covenants issues & guidelines
COLORS – When painting your home, ANY change in colors (including just the trim or door) must get prior approval. Please complete and submit a Modification Form. Do not proceed with the painting project before approval is granted with written confirmation – if you do not follow this procedure you could be fined until appropriate changes are made or you might have to repaint with an approved color at your cost. GUTTERS – This is the time of year when you should check your gutters for debris that collected over the winter or to see if any piece of it became disengaged during stormy weather. Gutter maintenance is essential to keeping compliant with HOA regulations. PRE-EMERGENT – By using a pre-emergent during late winter or early spring, you can save not only the cost of removing weeds from your lawn, but you will be proud of how your property looks when flowers begin to bud. Check with local nurseries and/or your lawn care provider about the benefits of pre-emergent treatments. The Covenants Committee is comprised of dedicated volunteers who do not make HOA rules, but simply monitor the community to make certain that all who live here follow the regulations that you were made aware of at the time of your purchase. We aim to keep Reunion the pristine neighborhood it is just as other committees strive to oversee the pool, social life, safety, and the Meeting House agendas. If you are interested in assisting The Covenants Committee please make your interest known by going to: reunioncovenant@gmail.com.

Empty NESTERS CORNER
EMPTY NESTERS’ Kick Back to Kick Off the New Year On January 21st a near record number of 61 members of the Reunion Country Club Empty Nesters group came together at The Meeting House to kick off the New Year. In order to start the year off on a more casual note, the group decided to dispense with the usual “themed” dinner and enjoyed another outstanding Pot Luck Supper. In terms of culinary delights, the year could not have started on a higher note. OMG! The food was unbelievable with the variety being outshone only by the quality and good taste. From old fashioned pot roast with roasted veggies to pulled pork and pork loin to stuffed peppers with all kinds of complimentary side dishes to help fill the plate, there were no unsatisfied appetites at the end of the evening. The ladies (and the occasional guy) who run the Empty Nester household kitchens have just reason to be proud. While dessert time was still going on, Rebecca Hagler called the group to order for a short business meeting to attempt to fill the calendar of events for the remainder of 2017. Obviously the
magic and hypnotic effects of excellent food and filled tummies worked as Rebecca had hoped because she was successful in obtaining hosts for most of the events throughout the coming year. 2017 promises to be another outstanding, fun and enjoyable year for the Reunion Empty Nester group. The Empty Nester group is open to and composed of Reunion residents who meet the sole requirement of no longer having children living at home with them. The group is totally self-sustaining and all Empty Nester functions and events are financed wholly by Empty Nester dues and occasional assessments with no supplement or financial assistance coming from HOA dues. Prospective members are invited to come to an event, free of charge, to see if there is an interest in joining. The membership is more than just a party club. It has evolved into friendships that provide strong support for one another. If you have an interest or more questions, please contract Rebecca Hagler at 678-641-6209 or email haglerrebecca@ yahoo.com.
