The Gainesville-Hall County Alliance for Literacy BUILDING AN EDUCATED WORKFORCE IN HALL COUNTY The Gainesville/Hall County Alliance for Literacy was formed in 1989 and serves as the umbrella agency for all literacy concerns in our community.

Building an Educated Workforce

The Alliance partners with Lanier Technical College’s 2017 Impact Report: The Gainesville/Hall County Allian Adult Education Center to garner community support. The Alliance provides funds for instruction, materials/curriculum, and GED and continuing education scholarships.

Avita Community Partners provides behavioral health, developmental disability, and addiction services to individuals and their families.

Amped Kids Foundation's mission is to positively impact the lives of foster children in Georgia through free music programs.

One year program includes instrument, thirty minute lessons every two weeks and all Instruction material.

My Sister's Place is a shelter for homeless women and children. We have provided a home for the homeless since 2000.

In 2017, we opened My Sister's Resale Boutique to provide resources for those in need and also support for our shelter. The boutique is a high-end shopping experience that features clothing, accessories and home decor.
