Join us for a memorable evening as we pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served our nation. Saluting Our Veterans: Standing Strong Together is more than just an event — it’s a powerful reminder that every veteran’s sacrifice matters, and their service should never be forgotten.
On Sunday, July 27, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, we invite you to the Chateau Elan Winery & Resort Pavilion for an unforgettable celebration. Through inspiring stories of resilience, moving tributes, and a deep sense of gratitude, we will honor the courage and commitment of our veterans. Our mission is to ensure that no veteran is left behind, whether in recognition, support, or community connection.
We are honored to welcome Col. Alan Sims, USAF, Retired, of the National Character Association as a guest speaker. In addition, there will be an opportunity to engage with The Headstrong Project and other veteran-focused organizations offering valuable resources and support.
The evening will feature live music from Highway 211, offering an opportunity to relax, reflect, and connect with fellow community members who share a commitment to ensuring that no veteran is left behind. Admission is free, with food and drinks available for purchase, making it the perfect setting for meaningful conversations and honoring those who have served.
Together, we can make a difference — standing united to ensure that every veteran receives the honor and respect they so rightly deserve.

Fish Tacos

These crispy fish tacos with shredded cabbage and a spicy homemade citrusy sauce are just delicious! Serve with pico de gallo and lime wedges to squeeze on top.

INGREDIENTS
Beer Batter:
• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 8 tablespoons cornstarch
• 4 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 4 cups beer
• 4 large egg
Taco Sauce:
• 2 cups plain yogurt
• 2 cups mayonnaise
• 4 lime, juiced
• 4 jalapeño pepper, finely minced
• 4 teaspoons minced capers
• 4 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper
• 2 teaspoons dried oregano
• 2 teaspoons ground cumin
• 2 teaspoons dried dill weed
Fish Tacos:
• 4 quart oil for frying
• 4 pounds cod fillets, cut into 2 to 3 ounce portions
• 8 tablespoons all-purpose flour, or more as needed
• 4 (12 ounce) package corn tortillas
• 2 medium head cabbage, finely shredded
DIRECTIONS
1. To make the beer batter: Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Blend beer and egg in a separate bowl, then quickly stir into flour mixture until combined with a few lumps remaining.
2. To make the sauce: Mix yogurt and mayonnaise together in a medium bowl; gradually stir in fresh lime juice until consistency is slightly runny. Season with jalapeño, capers, cayenne, oregano, cumin, and dill.
3. To make the fish tacos: Heat oil in a deepfryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
4. Dust fish pieces lightly with flour. Set aside.
5. Dip floured fish pieces into beer batter. Set aside.
6. Fry battered fish in hot oil until crisp and golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Lightly fry tortillas in hot oil until just crisped, but not too crisp. Drain on paper towels.
7. Place fried fish in tortillas; top with shredded cabbage and sauce.
