Letter from the Editor
The Membership Experience is made up of many moments. Some are joyful and empowering, filled with connection, growth, and celebration. Others are quieter and more reflective, reminding us of the relationships, service, and lasting impact that give membership its meaning.
Throughout this issue, you will see those different sides of the Membership Experience reflected in the stories shared across these pages. Theta Phi Alpha recently lost Becky Dixon McLaren, AM, a Guard of Honor wearer and Chair of the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation. Becky’s dedication to Theta Phi Alpha was reflected in the time, energy, and care she gave throughout her years of service. Her impact serves as a meaningful reminder that sisterhood is not only found in moments of celebration, but also in the ways members support, encourage, and uplift one another. The Compass honors Becky in this issue with a special tribute celebrating her life, service, and lasting impact on Theta Phi Alpha. As we move through the summer season, I hope this issue offers an opportunity to reflect on the many experiences that shape membership, from the connections being built today to the legacies left by those who have given so much. Summer is an exciting time for Theta Phi Alpha. It gives us an opportunity to reflect on where we have been, celebrate the members who continue to make an impact, and look ahead to the experiences and opportunities that will shape the future of our sisterhood. Throughout this issue of The Compass, you will see one theme reflected again and again: the Theta Phi Alpha Experience. Our Membership Experience begins when someone first learns about Theta Phi Alpha, but it does not end with initiation, graduation, or the conclusion of a leadership position. It continues throughout a lifetime through the friendships we build, the values we live, the ways we serve, and the connections we maintain with one another. As you turn these pages, I invite you to think about your own Theta Phi Alpha Experience. We reflect on Founders’ Day and the ten women whose vision established our Fraternity in 1912. We celebrate the incredible support of our members and friends through the Following the Compass to Founders’ Day campaign and the impact that generosity will continue to have on our members.

Our future also continues to grow. This fall, Theta Phi Alpha will begin establishing an emerging chapter at Molloy University. Just as every chapter in our history once began with a group of women willing to build something meaningful together, Molloy represents another opportunity to extend our values of Justice, Friendship, and Truth to a new campus community. This issue also gives us the opportunity to celebrate members and leaders whose service continues to strengthen Theta Phi Alpha and the greater fraternity and sorority community. From our Senior Service Award recipients to our Compass Points recipients and members recognized for their leadership and volunteer service, their stories remind us that there are many ways to make a lasting impact. Our values of Justice, Friendship, and Truth remain at the center of all that we do. They connect our past to our present and guide us as we continue building the future of Theta Phi Alpha. Whether you are beginning your membership journey, preparing for recruitment on your campus, celebrating decades of sisterhood, volunteering your time, mentoring another member, or finding a new way to reconnect, you are part of the Theta Phi Alpha Experience. Happy Founders’ Day! Why did our Founders form and remain loyal to Theta Phi Alpha? I believe it is for much the same reason you and I joined. We joined to find a place of belonging, experience shared values, and to be part of an organization that helps us grow into the best versions of ourselves, both personally and professionally. Justice. Friendship. Truth. These are more than just words in our ritual—they are the foundation of everything we do as Theta Phi Alphas throughout our lives. Through the generosity of 279 donors, Following the Compass to Founders' Day raised $72,624, surpassing its $70,000 campaign goal and reaching 103 percent. What an exciting milestone for the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation. We are deeply thankful to every donor, member, volunteer, supporter, and campaign contributor who helped make this campaign a success. Every gift and every person who shared, encouraged, participated, and supported this effort played a role.
This campaign reflects the strength, commitment, and shared impact of the Theta Phi Alpha community. But the impact does not end with a number.
Pouring Into Our Membership This year's Founders' Day truly set the tone for what it means to pour back into our membership. Giving to the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation creates opportunities for our members to learn, lead, serve, and grow. The Foundation's mission is centered on enriching the lives of Theta Phi Alpha members through scholarship, philanthropy, and education. That support reaches our members in meaningful ways. It helps provide academic scholarships for undergraduate and graduate members, including assistance with tuition, university fees, books, and on campus housing. It also creates opportunities for members to participate in leadership education and development experiences. Foundation support also helps make educational programming possible through conferences and conventions, leadership initiatives, technology, philanthropic programs, and other opportunities designed to strengthen the Membership Experience.

Founders' Day When we give, we are investing directly into the experiences and opportunities available to our members. A scholarship can help a member continue her education. A leadership experience can give someone the confidence to take her next step. Educational programming can provide tools a member carries into her chapter, career, community, and life. That is what it means to invest in Theta Phi Alpha.
Following the Compass Founders' Day has always been about reflection. Each year, on or around April 30, our chapters and associations come together to honor the ten women whose vision created Theta Phi Alpha. Members are also encouraged to recognize the occasion through gifts to the Foundation in honor of their years of membership.

Founders’ Day in Action Flint Area Celebrates Founders’ Day at Kettering University
We were also honored by the presence of Angela Seegel, ΑΕ, National Vice President-Alumnae, and thank her for making the trip to celebrate with us. Kettering University graciously hosted the event and offered campus tours. Many attendees appreciated the opportunity to experience firsthand the remarkable transformation of the campus over the years. Thanks to the Flint Area Alumnae Association Executive Board (Gitanjli McRoy, ΑΝ; Paula Pacholke-Dumont, ΑΝ; and, Theresa Taggart, ΑΝ) for sharing this great event!
The Flint Area Alumnae Association recently hosted a memorable Founders’ Day Luncheon at Kettering University, bringing together sisters from near and far to honor our Founders and celebrate our shared legacy. The afternoon was filled with warmth and connection. Attendees enjoyed the luncheon, reconnected with longtime friends, and created new memories. Collegians from the Beta Lambda Chapter at the University of Michigan-Flint also joined the celebration. A highlight of the event was the recognition of 21 distinguished Sapphire Circle members, each an alumna of the former Alpha Nu Chapter at Kettering University, honoring 50+ years of dedicated membership. We extend special thanks to Jule Hegwood, whose outreach and enthusiasm inspired her 1976 initiation class to travel from several states to attend. Their presence added greatly to the spirit of the occasion.

Foundation Chair Recognized
Leadership That Makes an Impact Following the success of the Founders' Day campaign, Theta Phi Alpha Foundation Chair Jennifer Jacob, K, was recognized by the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence with the 2026 Outstanding Foundation Volunteer Award for her commitment and leadership to the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation. From the FFE’s press release: Leading with compassion, grace, and unwavering commitment, Jennifer Jacob is taking the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation to new heights. She is an inspiration to those around her and exceeds every goal set before her. Jennifer has served the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation, a fully volunteer-led organization, since 2024. First, as the Director of Donor Development, then stepping into the role of Chair in 2025 following the unexpected passing of the organization’s previous Chair Becky Dixon McLaren.

Under Jennifer’s leadership, Theta Phi Alpha launched “Guided By Purpose: The Campaign for Theta Phi Alpha’s Future,” a multi-year comprehensive fundraising initiative designed to strengthen the Foundation’s long-term stability. The campaign is in its earliest stages but has already amassed 8% of its goal thanks to the strategic vision and relationship building of Jennifer.
Aside from her many accomplishments as Chair of the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation, Jennifer’s ability to inspire others and empower them to tackle important work has made all the difference. Jennifer’s recognition represents the leadership behind the work of the Foundation and the dedication of the volunteers who continue giving their time and talents in service to our members. The success of Following the Compass to Founders’ Day is a reminder of what can happen when leadership, generosity, and sisterhood come together around a common purpose. Congratulations Jennifer!

Kathy Prokupek Miller, AP, Kathy currently serves as a National Financial Manager and has worked for many years to secure the financial stability of Theta Phi Alpha. She works tirelessly to ensure that our chapters operate within a balanced budget and meets the deadlines for the audit.
Grace Curtis Martinez, DX, Grace has been a constant presence with the Delta Xi Chapter, working tirelessly as their Chapter Advisor not only to give advice and be an example, but also to give the collegians the best Theta Phi Alpha experience they can have. Beyond Delta Xi, she has helped members of the Epsilon Chapter gain invaluable Ritual knowledge. Her energy, love, and support are felt throughout Cincinnati. Jessica Kopp, DB, Jess has been and continues to be an exemplary model of a Theta Phi, serving as the New Member Education Advisor for Beta Alpha and Delta Beta Chapters. She knows firsthand how difficult the responsibilities of being New Member Educator can be, and works to make sure the New Member Educators that she advises feel confident in their roles and supported through every step of the way. Jess's talents and contributions will continue to positively impact this sisterhood. WEST (FOR WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM) The West Compass Point honors alumnae whose years of experience, knowledge, mentorship, and dedication continue to strengthen our sisterhood. These women help preserve our history, guide future leaders, and share the lessons they have gained through a lifetime of membership. Angela Zabala Palmer, BE, Angie’s passion and talent for all things related to Ritual has always been something that sisters love about her. With her work on the Ritual Committee this biennium, Angie brought her great insight and experience to the committee,

especially regarding how and when to update rituals based on suggestions from current membership. Angie’s passion for Ritual is contagious to so many and a great example of how we should care for our Ritual. SOUTH (FOR SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS OUTSIDE THETA PHI ALPHA) The South Compass Point celebrates alumnae whose accomplishments demonstrate excellence beyond their membership experience. Their professional, personal, or community achievements reflect the many ways Theta Phi Alpha women continue to lead and make an impact. Barbara McIntyre, S, Barbara McIntyre is a writer and respected book columnist based in Ohio, known for her extensive work covering the literary scene across the state. As the Book Talk columnist for the Akron Beacon Journal, she has spent more than two decades writing about books, authors, and literary events, establishing herself as a trusted voice in arts and entertainment journalism. Outside of journalism, Barbara is deeply involved in trivia, which has become an important part of her identity. She is a member of The Fellowship trivia team, a group known for its consistent performance and recognition within the trivia community. During this time, Barbara spent 14 years working towards her goal of appearing on Jeopardy, finally making it onto the show. Her episode aired on March 30th, 2026.

THROUGH SERVICE Katie Hartmann, GI, Honored with the Bonnie Wunsch Volunteer Service Award
Congratulations, Executive Director Katie Hartmann! Earlier this year, Katie Hartmann was honored with the Bonnie Wunsch Volunteer Service Award at the 2026 Northeast Greek Leadership Association’s Annual Conference. The Bonnie Wunsch Volunteer Service Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and service to NGLA through volunteer leadership and dedication to advancing fraternity and sorority life in the Northeast. Katie has dedicated many years to NGLA, including serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors from
2023-2025. She was instrumental in supporting and guiding NGLA’s strategic plan and community support from fraternities and sororities across the region. “Volunteers are the backbone of NGLA, and Katie exemplifies what it means to lead through service and dedication,” said Tom Murphy, Executive Director of NGLA. “Her leadership, care for the Association, and commitment to supporting students and professionals have made a lasting difference in the Association.” Congratulations, Katie! Rebecca Dixon McLaren (Becky), Alpha Mu, entered the eternal chapter on October 1, 2025, following a short and courageous battle with cancer. As the Chair of the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation at her passing, she is among a small and storied group of Theta Phi Alpha alumnae who exemplified lifetime commitment and ended her life as she had lived for just shy of four decades – giving her energies, abilities, and talents to her beloved sisterhood.
Early Years Becky was born on April 30, 1963, in LaGrange, Kentucky. Rachel Dixon, ΑΜ, Becky’s younger sister, described Becky as “a tomboy growing up – climbing trees, riding bikes, and wouldn't wear a dress. She was very smart, a straight-A student. Becky was by the book, and I bent the rules. When we got in trouble, it was probably my fault,” recalled Rachel. “Becky was my first friend ever. I have known her longer than anyone. If something was wrong or needed to be taken care of, Becky was there.” Becky attended Northern Kentucky University, majoring in Psychology. She was initiated into the Alpha Mu Chapter in 1982, and her sister, Rachel, followed in her footsteps a few years later. She graduated on May 11, 1985. As Becky’s husband, Jim, recounted in his tribute at her funeral, “Becky’s dream was to travel, to see the world.” For Becky, that meant landing her dream job at American Airlines and, in what
may be considered characteristically Becky, “transferring to Miami. She left her friends, family and everything she knew, packed her bags and drove over 1,100 miles to Miami by herself,” exemplifying “strong conviction, grit and determination.” Miami and, later, Fort Myers became home. She met her husband, Jim, who worked for U.S Customs, at the airport. They married in 1991 and welcomed a cherished son, Brandon. Being a wife, mother, sister, and grandmother was her great joy. Jim shared, “She loved her family deeply. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and when the grandbabies came, it was a new chapter in her life that mere words cannot describe. They called her Nana, which came to be known as loving, caring, generous, and kind. Her love was not casual. It was deliberate, enduring.” Growing up in Kentucky, Becky loved horses and attended the Kentucky Derby for over 40 consecutive years. She was an expert in Derby lore, winning a trivia contest while on a flight to Louisville! Other passions were Disney, taking many trips to Disneyland and Walt Disney World, as well as reading and puzzles.

She was a longtime volunteer for the Florida Youth Soccer Association and the Cape Coral Soccer Association, working tournaments long after Brandon’s playing days were over. As with Theta Phi Alpha, when Becky made a commitment and found a passion, she devoted her service. National Service Becky’s first appointment was as Chapter Governor on July 15, 1986. She was elected to the Grand Council as the National Second Vice President from 1990 to 1992. She was elected to the Board of Trustees from 1992 to 2004. “It was a privilege to serve with Becky on the Board of Trustees from 1998 to 2002. AI Overview wasn’t around back then, but today, when I asked for a word for someone who always follows through, it responded, “Someone who is best described as dependable, reliable, or a person of action. These individuals are trustworthy, ensuring tasks are completed to the end, and promises are kept. A person of their word. Always delivers. Follows through to the end.” That pretty much wraps it up. But what AI doesn’t
know about Becky is that she was always my Little Miss Sunshine. She was so optimistic, cheerful, and eager to serve Theta Phi Alpha back then and until the end. Our 65th Guard of Honor will never be forgotten,” shared Patricia Giallanza, Υ, Past National President. Becky served on the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation* from 2012 until her passing in 2025. She served in various roles, including Chairman for four years. Her commitment to the Foundation would become one of her most enduring legacies to the Fraternity. “Becky’s journey within Theta Phi Alpha led her to serve the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation, where her vision and leadership left a lasting impact. She understood something essential: that the financial strength of the Foundation is vital to the long-term sustainability and growth of the Fraternity. Becky saw beyond today and embraced a futurefocused perspective, recognizing that careful stewardship and intentional support would ensure that generations of sisters could continue to experience the same place of belonging and opportunities that meant so much to her,” reflected Kristin Henkenius, ΑΠ, National President. “During her time as Chair of the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation, Becky championed this vision wholeheartedly. She worked with purpose and passion to build a strong, enduring foundation, one that will safeguard our Fraternity’s future. Her leadership was not only strategic but heartfelt, rooted in her profound love for Theta Phi Alpha and her belief in our mission and our values of Justice, Friendship and Truth.” In 2000, Becky was bestowed the Guard of Honor, the highest honor that can be awarded to a member, in recognition

In addition to her elected service, Becky supported collegians in many appointed and unofficial capacities, including Chapter Governor, Chapter Advisor, and Conference Director. “Everyone seems to have a story about how they met or worked with Becky. For me, my journey with Becky started in 1999 when she was the Chapter Advisor of the Alpha Tau Chapter. She knew about me before I met her in person in the Spring of 2000, when the chapter traveled to her house for a weekend of sisterhood and chapter bonding. At that meeting, something connected the two of us. Over the years, she continued to be an advisor, a confidante, a champion, and a true

friend with all aspects of my life, not just sorority,” shared Ainsley Robson, ΑΤ. Jennifer Dunn Jacob, Κ, who served alongside Becky on the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation and was named Chair after Becky’s passing, recalls, “I had never met Becky before I joined the Foundation, but I saw her evolve in her role in a way that I wish others could have seen and, more importantly, I wish I could put it into words. We (the Directors) were working (and continue to work) toward a common goal and figuring out the path there. She became a cherished friend in our brief time together, and her loss is still felt at the Foundation.” Becky’s legacy is not measured only in titles held or years served, but in the countless moments of kindness, mentorship, and unwavering support she offered to sisters across the country. Her laughter, her steadiness, and her fierce loyalty will continue to guide us. Theta Phi Alpha is stronger because Becky lived, served, and loved within it. Perhaps Jim said it best when he reminded us through our grief that “the greatest gift is for her to be remembered through her laugh, smile, friendship, loyalty, generosity, kindness, and how she loved life.”

ut recruitment is bigger than a week on the calendar. Recruitment is something we do all year long. Every time we wear our letters, serve our communities, attend a campus event, welcome someone new, share our Theta Phi Alpha experience, or simply show someone what sisterhood looks like, we are representing Theta Phi Alpha. Recruitment gives us an opportunity to introduce others to the values, friendships, leadership opportunities, service, and experiences that have shaped each of us. The goal is not to create the perfect recruitment conversation. The goal is to create a real connection. Someone may not remember every detail you shared about Theta Phi Alpha, but they will remember how they felt when they were around you. Were they welcomed? Were they included? Did someone take the time to learn their name? Did they feel comfortable asking questions? Could they see themselves belonging? Those moments matter.
Recruitment Ready Starts Before Recruitment Strong recruitment does not begin when the first potential new member walks through the door. It begins with preparation. Before recruitment, chapters should ask: Do we know how to tell our Theta Phi Alpha story? Does our social media reflect who we really are? Are our members comfortable starting conversations? Do our events feel welcoming? Are we showing the different personalities, backgrounds, interests, and experiences within our chapter? Does our chapter environment reflect the values we are talking about? Put It Into Practice THE COMPASS

Host a chapter recruitment workshop before the semester begins. Pair members together and give them two minutes to share why they chose Theta Phi Alpha. Then take away the talking points and let them simply have a conversation.Recruitment confidence grows through practice.
Create A Space Where Someone Can Belong A beautiful recruitment room may get someone's attention. More importantly, they will remember how you made them feel. Belonging is built through small, intentional actions. An inclusive recruitment experience ensures every person feels seen, welcomed, respected, and knows there is a place for them within the conversation. Greet people when they arrive. Introduce them to others. Use their names. Make space in the conversation. Explain traditions or terminology they may not understand. Never assume someone already knows how fraternity and sorority life
Those values should be visible in how we treat our sisters, classmates, campus partners, and communities. For example... Embracing Justice may look like making sure someone who is quieter is still included in the conversation. Nurturing Friendship may look like checking on a member who has had a difficult week or inviting someone new to join you for lunch. Valuing Truth may mean sharing an honest Membership Experience rather than presenting an unrealistic picture of chapter life. Potential members should not only hear our values. They should experience them.
Recruitment Beyond Campus Through Lifelong Membership Our collegiate chapters are essential to the future of Theta Phi Alpha, but the opportunity to experience our sisterhood does not always begin during college. Some women discover Theta Phi Alpha later. Theta Phi Alpha members bring recruitment to life through creative campus tabling that showcases the Fraternity and invites others to learn more.

Live Our Values Every Day Recruitment becomes easier when who we are during recruitment is the same as who we are every other day. Embracing Justice. Nurturing Friendship. Valuing Truth.
Alumnae initiates are women who are initiated into Theta Phi Alpha as alumnae members. They may come to know our organization through a friend, colleague, volunteer experience, community connection, or another Theta Phi Alpha member. That means our alumnae have a role in sharing our sisterhood, too. The same principles apply. Build authentic relationships. Share your experience. Talk about why Theta Phi Alpha continues to matter in your life. Invite women to learn more. And remember that someone does not have to share your exact Theta Phi Alpha journey to find a place within our sisterhood.
Your Recruitment Challenge This season, challenge yourself to do something simple: Meet one new person. Learn her name. Learn something about her. Share something real about yourself. And if the opportunity is right, introduce her to Theta Phi Alpha. You never know which conversation will become someone's first step toward a lifetime of sisterhood. Creating a Welcoming Recruitment Experience Recruitment is often someone's first introduction to Theta Phi Alpha. From the first conversation to the first event, we have an opportunity to create an experience where someone feels welcomed, included, and comfortable learning more about who we are. The words we use are part of that experience.

As members, fraternity terminology can become second nature. We may use an acronym without thinking twice because everyone around us understands what it
means. But a potential new member, parent, campus partner, or someone learning about fraternity and sorority life for the first time may not. When we use language someone does not understand, we can unintentionally make them feel like an outsider before they have had the opportunity to experience our sisterhood. Being recruitment ready means thinking about our language just as intentionally as we think about our events, conversations, social media, and chapter presentation.
Say What You Mean Instead of relying on acronyms or internal terminology, say the full words and explain what they mean. Use potential new member rather than PNM. When discussing COB, introduce it as Continuous Open Bidding and explain that it is another opportunity to get to know Theta Phi Alpha outside of recruitment process.
And that is the experience we want someone to have when they encounter Theta Phi Alpha. Creating an inclusive recruitment experience does not require a grand gesture. Sometimes it is as simple as slowing down, avoiding assumptions, answering a question without judgment, or explaining something we have heard hundreds of times to someone hearing it for the first time.
The same applies to our Fraternity’s name. Use Theta Phi Alpha, not TPA, to clearly and consistently represent who we are.
Before You Say It, Ask
Terms like Bid Day, initiation, chapter, or alumnae may also be unfamiliar to someone new to the experience. When needed, take a moment to explain what they mean.
If the answer is no, explain it.
We are not changing who we are or removing the language and traditions that are meaningful to our membership. We are simply making sure someone new to our experience can understand and feel included in the conversation.
Would someone completely new to Theta Phi Alpha understand what I mean? Recruitment is about inviting someone into our experience. Our language should do the same. When people understand the conversation, they have a better opportunity to become part of it. Be Clear. Be Welcoming. Be Recruitment Ready.

Extension A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS
Theta Phi Alpha is coming to Molloy University! Every chapter of Theta Phi Alpha has a beginning. Before the traditions, memories, leadership experiences, friendships, and generations of members, there was a group of women willing to be first. Women who saw an opportunity to build something meaningful together and create a foundation for the members who would come after them. This fall, another beginning is taking shape. The Grand Council of Theta Phi Alpha is pleased to announce the acceptance of an invitation to establish an emerging chapter at Molloy University beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. Located in Rockville Centre, New York, Molloy University will welcome Theta Phi Alpha as part of its new fraternity and sorority life community. The decision to expand was approved by Theta Phi Alpha's Grand Council on April 9 and represents another exciting step in the continued growth of our Fraternity. But bringing Theta Phi Alpha to a new campus is about more than adding another chapter to our map. It is about creating another place for women to belong, lead, serve, grow, and experience lifelong sisterhood. WHY MOLLOY? Finding the right campus matters. THE COMPASS

Theta Phi Alpha's values of justice, friendship, and truth create a meaningful connection with the community Molloy is building. Both Theta Phi Alpha and Molloy welcome women of all faiths while sharing roots in Catholic heritage.
As Molloy develops its fraternity and sorority life community, Theta Phi Alpha has an opportunity to be part of that story from the beginning. “Theta Phi Alpha's values of justice, friendship, and truth make us a natural fit for Molloy University. Our sisterhood empowers women to lead with integrity, inspire personal growth, and serve others, while fostering meaningful lifelong connections.” - Kristin Henkenius, National President Theta Phi Alpha will also have a familiar connection nearby. Our chapter at St. John's University can serve as a resource as Theta Phi Alpha establishes itself as the first National Panhellenic Conference organization on Molloy's campus. Together with Phi Kappa Theta, Theta Phi Alpha will have an opportunity to help shape and strengthen fraternity and sorority life at Molloy.
BUILDING SOMETHING THAT LASTS From an invitation to a new Theta Phi Alpha home A new chapter does not happen overnight. Extension begins with an invitation and a shared belief that Theta Phi Alpha and a campus community can build something meaningful together. From there comes planning, relationship building, recruitment, member education, leadership development, and continued support. At Molloy, that work will begin this fall.
Create a Legacy Build something future generations of Theta Phi Alpha members at Molloy can call home. It Takes a Team Behind every successful extension are volunteers and members willing to share their time, knowledge, and Theta Phi Alpha experience.
BUILDING THE CHARTER CLASS One of the most exciting parts of extension is finding the women who will become the foundation of a new chapter. They will not be joining an established chapter with years of traditions already in place. They will have the opportunity to help create them. The charter class will have the opportunity to shape the chapter's culture, establish traditions, step into leadership, introduce Theta Phi Alpha to the Molloy community, and determine what sisterhood will look like on their campus. Someone accepted the first leadership position. Someone welcomed the next member. And together, those women created something that continued long after their own collegiate years ended. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CHARTER MEMBER? Build Help establish a new chapter and its traditions. Lead Take on meaningful leadership opportunities from the beginning. Connect Build relationships with women who are experiencing something new together. Serve Bring Theta Phi Alpha's values to a new campus and community.
Volunteer leadership will be an important part of establishing the emerging chapter at Molloy. From recruitment and member development to chapter operations, leadership, and sisterhood, our volunteers will help guide these new members as they learn what it means to be a Theta Phi. Our nearby members and chapters also have an opportunity to welcome Molloy's newest members into a sisterhood that reaches far beyond one campus. Because we are not simply establishing a chapter. We are welcoming new members into a lifetime of Theta Phi Alpha. LOOKING TOWARD FALL 2026 This fall, we will begin writing a new Theta Phi Alpha story at Molloy University. There will be first meetings. First recruitment conversations. First friendships. First leaders. First traditions. And eventually, there will be members who look back and remember that they were there when it all began. That is what makes extension special. It reminds us that the chapters and experiences we know today exist because members before us were willing to build something for the future. Molloy University is next. A new campus. A new group of women. A new opportunity to experience Theta Phi Alpha. Welcome to the beginning.

C
ongratulations to the 2026 Senior Service Award recipients! As graduation marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, we are proud to recognize the 2026 Senior Service Award recipients.
Their impact can be found in the positions they held, the programs they supported, the service they gave, the friendships they strengthened, and the example they set for the members who will follow them.
The Senior Service Award honors graduating members whose dedication, leadership, and service have made a meaningful impact on their chapters and the surrounding communities. Throughout their collegiate experience, these members have shown what it means to lead with purpose, serve others, remain committed to their academic journeys, and contribute to the sisterhood they will now carry with them as alumnae.
Graduation may change where they experience Theta Phi Alpha, but it does not end their membership experience. As these members begin careers, continue their education, pursue new opportunities, and enter a new season of life, we hope they carry with them the leadership skills, relationships, values, and experiences developed during their collegiate years.
