On June 6, 2022, Fort Pierce City Commissioner Jeremiah Johnn and Fort Pierce Police Department Assistant Chief of Police Robert Ridle registered the "Fort 2K LLC" with the State of Flrida Divison of Corporations. On July 22, 2022, Fort 2K LLC purchased the property at 1350 Hartman Road, Fort Pierce, Fl for $375,000.00. The 7-acre property in unincorporated St. Lucie County is zoned RS-3, allowing for a single-family home, and came with a pole barn, electric, and well on site. A records check reveals a permit for the property exists only to install electricity. Shortly after the sale, The Dish learned that Ridle moved his RV onto the property, hooked up to the electricity, and began living there in violation of St. Lucie County Ordinance. According to St. Lucie County Zoning & Planning Ordinance, the purpose of RS-3 Zoning is to "Protect an environment suitable for single-family dwellings". It does not provide provisions for temporary dwellings or temporary or permanent RV living on unimproved property. In instances where RVs are allowed on unimproved land, permitting is appropriate to ensure that the ground beneath the RV is level, stable, and properly drained.
