Stute Editorial

Editorial:

I would to publiciI' thank Mr. Crispen and Mr. Frisco for the work and time they have put Into the Yapht Club over this past summer. Their work on the Yacht Club was brought,to light this past week at the President's Forum) I would like to stlite that even though the Yacht Club's situation has Improved since their fire last semester the Club still needs storage space for the boats AND a secure place for them. Cashmere was quite Intrlgued'by the answers given at Wednesday's President's Forum. The answers Cashmere heard on the topic of the financial stat,!!s of the we,re quite revealing President Rogers stated that the fmanclal status of Stevens should be stable by the end of,next year. ,The major obstacle to the complete financial recovery of the school was lastsemester's Immature strike by the faculty. He considered this action the ONLY reason for the financial woes of Stevens. I imagine Dr. Rogers has forgotten his own humble beginnings In the faculty. Cashmere would also like to point out that the lack of effeQtlve and decisive leallershil1 on the part of the administration Is a major reason for the Institute's problems. So, if the readers of this cotumnever wondered why the Hydra seems so boobish without his heads alt they need, do Is look toward the' heavens in the vicinity of the highest point 11:1 Hoboken and they will see the, light. In other words, our Illustriousadmlnistrators HAVE the problem of listening to themselves speak too often and hence have an inflated view of themselves. Casll.01ere would like to warn the Inhabitants of the pearly tower that he, can still reach 7th heaven by their actions or more correctly, by their 'misdeeds.

Finally, In closing, I would like to urge ALL eligible students to register to vote so they can vote in the upcoming gublnatorlal election In New Jersey. This Is very Important, for, by voting, your voice can be heard in the election process. I would like to stress to all Stevens students that their ability to vote is one that should not be taken' lightly. If one doesn't like. I would like to thank the student who wrote the article on voter registration. I would like to encourage, more articles of this type by the 'Stevens community. Once again, thanks Dee.
