TROPICAL storm “Hanna” is forecast to intensify into a severe tropical storm within 24 hours, weather forecasters said Monday as the death toll from the capsizing of three boats in the Guimaras

AJOR airlines in Manila on Monday canceled more than 20 flights to and from Hong Kong due to the ongoing protests there.

Rada PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has appointed William Dar as Agriculture acting secretary and former Davao City administrator Wendel Avisado as acting Budget secretary, while Court of Appeals Justice Rodil Zalameda has been chosen as new associate justice of the Supreme Court. The new appointments were confirmed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on Monday. Dar will replace Emmanuel Piñol who is set to become Duterte’s point man in the Bangsamoro region.
