FRESH college graduate was shot outside the Kolegio de Pantukan in Davao de Oro, just after his graduation rites, police said.

Three individuals reportedly linked to the shooting were arrested yesterday. Pantukan Municipal Police Station officer-in-charge Lt. Col. Irish Hezron Parangan said the shooting appeared to be an isolated case, with “personal grudge” eyed as a possible motive behind the crime. “This may fall under what we call ‘crime of passion,’” Parangan said. “As a result of our hot pursuit operations, we have successfully apprehended three personalities, including the alleged principal, the gunman, and an accomplice. Our pursuit operations are continuing because one suspect was able to escape,” he added. Firearms were also recovered from the suspects, including a .45-caliber, police said.
