The President likewise added he sees no problem with the possibility of Senator Francis Escudero serving as the pre-

Vice President Sara Duterte. "That (stability) is exactly what we have been all hoping for, that things become more orderly, for the Senate to run normally again,” Mr. Marcos said. He said the Senate must immediately take up priority bills that have already been approved by the House of Representatives and are awaiting action from the Upper Chamber. Mr. Marcos said many of the measures were identified months earlier by the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) as priority legislation, while others were

Equities had been on a tear since the two rivals announced last weekend that they would end their threemonth conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, fueling global relief as economies have been hit by energy shortages and surging inflation. In Manila, oil industry sources said consumers can expect significant price rollbacks next week of up to P9.50 per liter following the signing of the peace deal. A source told Manila Standard that diesel prices are expected to drop by P7.50 to P9.50 per liter, and gasoline by P3 to P5 per liter.
