THE Office of the House Speaker and the Tingog party-list group, in close coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Lapu-Lapu City Rep. Cynthia King Chan have conducted an offsite payout for constituents in the city’s lone district.

The event, held at the LapuLapu City Auditorium, aims to assist indigent, needy, and vulnerable families amid socioeconomic strife.

Rep. Chan thanked the House of Representatives led by Speaker Martin G. Romualdez, his wife, Rep. Yedda Marie, Acidre, saying her constituents are lucky to be selected to receive assistance from the “generous” representatives of Tingog.

She said the assistance was of great help to uplift their lives.

“We have the responsibility to do something to make their lives brighter and better as your voices in Congress,” Rep. Chan said.

For his part, Mayor Ahong Chan also expressed gratitude to the Office of the House Speaker and Tingog Partylist for their love for their constituents in Lapu-Lapu City. He said, “Tingog party group is always with us with or without an election.”

A total of 1,000 beneficiaries received P5,000 each to support their daily needs.
