Tiana Kocher’s bittersweet, intoxicating music
IF the mere mention of Tiana Kocher’s unique sounding name arouses your curiosity, please visit your favorite search engine, read and learn about the impressive credentials of the rhythm and blues chanteuse that currently makes the heart flutter with her bittersweet and intoxicating kind of music.
Belonging to a family that is involved in arts, music, performance, film, theater, and politics, the lovely Tiana has an angelic face, sparkling and twinkling eyes, a winsome smile, and a voluptuous Rubenesque figure.
Her voice delivers the perfect blend of emotions to the lyrics of the songs she performs—cheerful, dramatic, fresh, sentimental, and youthful. Whether it’s her original compositions or cover renditions, the stories within them come alive with crystal clarity.
During a recent media conference, Tiana showcased some excellent song samples. The opening number was “Bye, Boy,” one of the songs from her first EP. It’s a bouncy, catchy, and danceable tune that sweetens the bitterness of a failed romance. Coming in second was her cover of SUV’s massive hit, “Weak.” Tiana’s interpretation captures all the necessary emotions, along with a delicious sense of longing.
Third song choice, with an intriguing title of “Tired.”
“All my songs are based on my experience. I believe that for my audiences and listeners to enjoy it, they must believe in me, I must speak of my truth with the songs I sing,” she states.
“I wrote this one when I was 17, I am 24 now so, I want to believe it has been only a minute. What I want to say in the song does not mean I am tired of a relationship. There are many things that make me feel that way,” she goes on.
Tiana brings a unique emotional twist to her rendition of Britney Spears’ classic song, “Lucky.” Inspired by Yebba’s cover, Tiana resonates with the message of the song, relating to the idea that true happiness lies in the simplicity of life and the support of loved ones.
“Billionaire,” “Treasure,” “Leave the Door Open,” and “When
I Was Your Man,” to name a few.
Following the resounding success of the Summer Blast 2023 event, which drew in a staggering crowd of 120,000 attendees, organizers have announced the additional date of June 25 to meet the “overwhelming demand” from Mars’ passionate fan base. Born in Hawaii to a Puerto Rican father and Filipina mother, Bruno Mars has expressed his love for his Filipino roots on several occasions. He even extended help to Pinoys before, such as when he donated $100,000 to Yolanda victims in 2014.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Arena has become a goto venue for international concerts, drawing artists from around the world with its impressive scale. Additionally, the arena acts as a gauge for measuring an artist’s fame, as demonstrated by the recent concerts of Seventeen, Blackpink, and Harry Styles Seventeen was the first K-pop group to fill the Philippine Arena with fans. On the other hand, Blinks or fans of Blackpink went full force for their idols’ two-night concert.
