Hospitals, biz brace for COVID-19 upsurge

THE country logged over 2,000 new COVID-19 cases for the third straight day on Sunday as government hospitals braced for an uptick of cases owing to the local transmission of the Arcturus variant.

In-person classes at a school in Cabatuan, Isabela province are also suspended this week after over a dozen teachers and students tested posi- tive for COVID, as experts warned the public to be extra cautious with infections continuing to rise.
